Genevieve and William Bartlett

Genevieve is my Great Aunt - she did not have any children of her own - was wondering if you aren't related to her if you could transfer her and her husband William to me?

RE: Mary Lewis Clark
Have you run across:

Andrew Clark married Mehitable Tuttle in 1748. She was from Wallingford CT and Dau of Timothy and Thankful Doolittle.

Melville Cox Clark married Emma Sarah True (dau of Lewis Page True and Jemima Lane Foss) in the early 1800s. This may have been in Maine. Their daughter was Annie Augusta Clark and entered this into the DAR Index as a descendant of Patriot, Uriah Foss.

Francis Clark married John K Booton (a Spurlock connection) in 1786 but that was in Virginia and probably not connected to Marvin. But the Bootons ventured with relatives into Illinois and then Iowa where John M Clark (b 1846) married Minerva Carolina Spurlock in 1903.

On the other side of the family, Lavinia Clark (dau of Thomas Clark and Nancy J Combs) married Jeremiah Fly (b 1831 in TN d Louisanna. Their family settled in MO but migrated later to CA and CO.

Another Lavinia Clark married John Foss in 1789 in Maine. They are buried in York CO. and are often confused with my gggrandfather, his cousin, who was also John Foss b 1800. (We get asked about Lavinia Clark by other researchers all the time.)

I have more Clarks that came from England in the early 1600s. Mary Clark married Nicholas Sargent in 1576 in England and are some of the infamous/numerous descendants of Hugh Sargent of England. Arthur Clark married Jane Sargent in 1597 in England. (I think these Clarks and the Sargents are several times related.)

Samuel Clark married Hannah Tuttle (Dau of one of the original Tuttles in America) in 1672 in New Haven CT.

Elias Augustus Tuttle (son of Henry Tuttle and Ardella True) married Cornelia S Clark (Clarke) in about 1860 in New York. He was a member of SAR and "wealthy mill owner in the industrious town of Fall River, Massachusetts."

Probably TMI but this is the Clark Connections that I have. The Lewis is another story....and more than half are named Mary.

RE: Mary Lewis Clark
I thought this might be a relation, but so far has not linked.

Annie Clark was a member of DAR on a family line but the Clark was her father's line and I have her mother's coming from my Foss family in Maine.

Two Clark families connect with my Tuttle line as well. Those Tuttles were in WI. So I expected a connection but have come to dead ends in the search in NY.

I have an idea Marvin Clark was connected to Tuttles/Sargents who originated in CT but can not find much about Melvin's origins.

The Lewis family is somehow distantly connected to some of my Spurlock cousins out of Oregon.

I hope some family of Melvin and Mary would be interested and take on these memorials I had put up.

Are you related?

Zenas Manley
I'm not sure just how we are related, though we are apparently cousins. Zenas was my GGG Grandfather. My line goes through his oldest son, Jackson, HIS son, George Andrew, and George's youngest daughter, Helen who was my Grandmother. I have hit a brick wall as far as Zenas' parents are concerned... though I have a few clues.
