Bio and Links
Bio Photo Most of the memorials I manage are in Rest-Haven Memorial Park. The cemetery has about 17,000 graves with just over 14,600 of them on Find-A-Grave. Rest-Haven has a mausoleum in addition to the cemetery. This cemetery has no upright gravestones, only flat ground level grave marker. The cemetery does not require that a grave be marked, so many graves have no markers.

I will be happy to make additions or corrections to the memorials I manage. If you have a correction, extra information or want a transfer please use the EDIT TAB on that individual's memorial. PLEASE DO NOT LEAVE A "Public Message" WHEN ASKING FOR EDITS OR TRANSFERS.

I enjoy genealogical research and spend time enhancing memorials as time permits. My primary task is adding new memorials to help people find their family and friends.

RE: Clarence Knox at Acacia
I certainly did not mean to offend you! I simply responded to your question about posting other documents, including marriage certificates, as photos.

I have followed Find A Grave policies and try to get as much information that is pertinent to the purpose of this website into my memorials, including photos of the memorialized and their gravesite. I also accept from 10-20 edits for my memorials each day and always check additions for accuracy, and credit those who provide information as I have done on this memorial. You will always be welcome to send edits and connections for any of my memorials and I will continue to do the same.

Keep up your good work on Find A Grave.

Markers often have errors.
Contact the manager of Grace's memorial for further updates if you feel the linking is incorrect.

Sergeant Lemuel R. Elliott, Co. D, 86th Illinois
Rebecca, After I sent my last email, I looked at it and saw the picture of me standing there in the museum here in Peoria. I'm wearing my frock coat. He would have been wearing a kepi like mine about this time as well. Thanks again!! Baxter

Rebecca, Thanks for the additional information. I have added it to his site. The duplicate memorial you are talking about is actually one of the infant children born to Lemuel R. Elliott and Thankful C. (Jacobs) Elliott. I don't know where the information came from, but, Lemuel apparently did have two children who died young. This is apparently one of them.
Also, what a GREAT picture!! I'd like to know where the original is, but, I am more than THRILLED to have this one now of his site. THANKS!!! He's wearing his frock coat, so the picture has to be an early one, probably taken late in 1862 or early in 1863. By mid 1863, we start to see the 86th wearing their sack coats. Thanks again!! WHAT A GREAT ADDITION TO HIS SITE!! Sincerely, Baxter

Thanks Rebecca for the additional information about Lemuel. I have added it along with some other information. Please check it out and let me know if you can help with any other information. There also must be pictures of Lemuel out there, if not in uniform, then as an older man. Any ideas? Thanks again for your help. Sincerely, Baxter

Hi Rebecca, I couldn't tell from the email, can you tell me what the original edit was? It doesn't tell me. Also, do you wish a transfer? Linda
