I was hoping you might transfer the memorial for George Grover Esgate #92793969 to my care. He was my husbands brother-in-law. My husband thought very highly of George. His wife (my husband's sister) was cremated and her ashes were buried with George. I recently created her memorial and am working on her bio. I am Pat Cook, PCook #48397057.

|Kenneth Sturdivant||Bessie 'Whitaker' Brandt|
Hello Jan, I am hopeful you can possibly help me contact, Bessie 'Whitaker' Brandt, the widow of William James jr. Brandt. Her parents were Mark Whitaker and Nora A. Hall. My wife, Zenith 'Hall' Sturdivant, and I (Kenneth) are researching the extended Hall family. If you are perhaps related to this family, we would love to exchange information with you.

|lawman||NEWTON JASPER WARD|
Thank you for the kudos for Sandy and me. In re-reading the obituary, I noticed one small error. Margaret Ward died in Dayton, WA, not in Pateros. I am sorry I did not notice that before.

|lawman||NEWTON JASPER WARD|
I called Sandy Stone in Pateros, WA. She is in charge of the cemetery in Pateros (pronounced Pah-ter-us). She confirmed that Newton Jasper Ward is buried in the Pateros Cemetery. She said he is buried in Lot 69, Grave 4. She was very friendly and more than willing to help. If it is what you do, I would put a little note on the memorial about her help and give her credit by name. I did not promise it. I told her it would depend on your custom.
For the first time, I looked at the death dates of each of the parents and siblings on Newton's memorial. It shocked me to see the needless slaughter of his parents and siblings. The memorial for Newton's brother William gives even more details about the massacre.
