My name is Phoebe Scholes Bird and I live at Tendoy, Idaho. I worked for a number of years at the Salmon, Idaho Family History Center. While working there we made an effort to enter all the names of those who are buried in the Salmon City Cemetery. I appreciate it when someone lets me know of mistakes or has other information to contribute. We willingly transfer the names of family members for upkeep. I enjoy this work. I live on a ranch and help out where I can, but I am getting on in years and find I have slowed down in many ways.
RE: Headstone in Salmon Idaho Cemetery Thanks, Phoebe, for letting me know I had a duplicate of the same gravestone picture. I am afraid that happened on several of my postings since sometimes the site is sluggish and it doesn't appear it uploaded. If you see any others, please let me know. Thanks again, Janine
RE: W. Rusk 9904427 Yes I saw that as well. Trying to get the other one deleted. If not then i will delete that one. Thanks again. I will be taking my mother up to Salmon to see where her mother was born sometime in April. You have done a lot of work there. She hasn't been back there sine 1966. Thanks Floyd
Linking family members For grave number 26457595 you could link his deceased daughter whose grave number is 28708412, giving him two deceased children. Would you please do that? Thank you. Patricia Larsen
Re: Antoinette Burke Rooker & Edward Roger Downing In my last message I made an error regarding Church records. They both belong to the Seventh-Day Adventist Church, not (LSD). These people are not listed in the Salmon City Cemetery alphabetic listing. I did find on Family Search.org details for Antoinette Burke in Idaho, Southwest Counties Obituaries, 1864-2007 listing death as 1918, Salmon, Idaho and Edward Downing, Idaho Death and Burials, 1907-1965, listing death 8 Mar 1911, age 61, Salmon, Lemhi, Idaho, but no burial records. About all that left, are researching church and newspaper records in Salmon. Would appreciate any help you may be able to offer in trying to locate their burial records.
Regards, Keith Sharpan (formerly from Challis, Idaho).
