Bio and Links
Bio Photo I am a retired music professor and university research administrator. I started family research in the 1970s because I knew so little about my grandparents, aunts, uncles, and cousins. It has been interesting and rewarding; I expect to keep at it. Surnames of interest include Hunt, Yearwood, Cox, Ward, Mahon, Patterson, Fortner, Holliman, Bayless, Williams, Sterling, Walder, Morrow, May, Buchanan, King, Berry, Sharp, and Hamilton, as well as Butler, Poyntz, Sydenham, de Audley, de Courtenay, Stewart, fitzAllen, fitzWalter, and other Scot, Celtic, and Norseman ancestors.

Hi Bill
I thought you should know that there is a tintype photograph of your uncle Oscar Ralph Hunt for auction on www.Shopgoodwill.com which expires in 2 days from now (Tuesday May 3rd - 9pm EST I think). The photo is labelled on the back 'born july 1876 Oscar Ralph Hunt'. It looks like Oscar was around two years old at the time of the photo. I'm letting you know because I can't imagine that your family wouldn't want to keep this unique treasure in the family.

The auction item number is 29456843. Here's a link....http://www.shopgoodwill.com/auctions/Antique-Tintype-Photograph--Labeled-1876-29456843.html

There are 3 bids on it already and at the moment it is up to $10. If you want to bid on it and make sure you get it, I would bid up to around $40 - collectors buy tintype photos and they can get quite expensive. Here's a link to tintypes currently on eBay http://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_from=R40&_trksid=p2050601.m570.l1313.TR12.TRC2.A0.H0.Xtintype.TRS0&_nkw=tintype&_sacat=0

Best Mark

Ah, I thought your name sounded familiar. If you come across any of my memorials that are your people that you would like, let me know.

I would be happy to make changes, but I don't remember the cemetery where Vera is buried. If you can submit the correction through the edit button I can do it much easier.

Thank you,
Gerri

RE: Abston Cemetery photos
Bill, Sorry for the slow reply. I was looking to move the picture over as you requested, but there is already a photo of a tall circular headstone for that person and it is a different from the picture I have. If you look at the bottom, of the daughters, there is a big rectangular area with the name and dates. My picture does not have that and reads 'Sarah Abston Their Mother' I want to get this in the correct place but I want to make sure you are 100% correct it should go to the daughter. The name on it is Sarah Abston, not Sarah Stinson. Please advise... Thanks so much Marc&Donna
