could you move Joseph Find A Grave burial into "Private" Cemetery in Cortland Co. NY. It is located in town of Solon. This Cemetery is 5 miles from village of McGraw up Maybury Road.
We located the foot stone and I put up 2 pictures. We will try to go back and see if it is buried.
Someone else posted the cemetery and I will try to get the name changed. One name being "Champlin Farm" Cemetery.
Thank you, Kate

Unfortunately my Aunt Betty passed away a few years ago and I am not sure what happened to her and Uncle Red's pictures. I think I may have one or two of him in old photo albums. I will ask my dad too, but it will take a little bit of time.

I see that you added Joseph to the Baptist Church in McGraw. I have been adding several Cortland County cemeteries that had not been included on Find A Grave. Based on the records at the Cortland County Historical Society, their readings from 1940-1950's shows this stone in the Adrian Grant Farm plot in Solon on Maybury Rd. ( this Cemetery is not listed here yet.) Do you know if it was relocated?
Also his brother Wm. R.
died Nov. 12, 1806,
aged yr. 7mo. 9 da. (Interred in N.Y.)
I am hoping to get up to see what is left at this site. In 1985, last reading, it was in very bad shape and stones hard to find. I will let you know what is there.

|Mark Weitzel||Brosius Family|
Hi (again) Tammy,
I was just looking thru a few of my things and I find "my" Abraham had a daughter, Anna Mary. She was married to a John Delb(?). I see you are researching the Delp Family. Would this be a connection you are looking for? Sorry for the helter skelter messages, we are leaving on a weekend trip in the am, so I am rushing things a tad.
|Mark Weitzel||RE: Abraham Brosius|
I believe your Abraham is different from mine. Yours appears to be Abraham Brosius, Born 1754, married Rosanna Crow and died in Staunton, VA 6 Jan 1863. Your Abraham did serve in the Rev. War in the 5th Pa Regt. I believe he lived with his son, Jacob in Augusta County. Wife, Rosina Grau(?). Source for your Abraham is "Genealogy of Henry & Mary Brosius with accounts of other Families bearing the name Brosius. Compiled by Lewis W. Brosius, 1928 Higginson Book Co. Your Abraham is shown in the "other" Families on page 411-412.
My Abraham is as shown, son of Johann Nicholas Brosius and Anna Barbara Schaeffer. Sources are many...from the book, "The Gumbert Family" by Sandra Johns Gumbert. Also Court of Common Pleas Documents 1827. A Deed dated 6 June 1832 and The Last Will and Testament of Abraham Brosius dated 22 Jan 1839 which shows my Abraham died in Northumberland County, PA and that his wife was Catharina.
I hope I have helped rather than confused you with this info.
Tammy: I posted a photo of Mother Sisson at the Galt Cemetery. Also, the listing from the Galt Cemetery Director. She was the only Sisson listed. Dates not matching up exactly, but the name does. Thanks.
