Bio and Links
Bio Photo I am retired and enjoy working on genealogy as a hobby. I have a masters degree from the University of Oklahoma and I'm using my research skills to hunt down my ancestors. is a terrific web site.
My ancestors include but are not limited to:
Allison, Campbell, Morris, Johnson, Holdsworth, Baird, Kirkpatrick, Phillippi, Worley, Sweeney, Vaught, Watson, Dale, Wheeler, Hoyt, Newman

I make an effort to connect husbands, wives and families using obituaries and census records.

As many of you know, I have spent hours taking photos in the Rose Hill Cemetery in order to create memorials. I also do research in the Oklahoma Historical Society Library for some of my memorials.

Member: Oklahoma Historical Society, National Trust for Historic Preservation, Civil War Trust, Friends of Mt Vernon, Colonial Williamsburg Foundation, National Women's History Museum, Pulaski Co KY Historical Society, Cornerstone Genealogical Society (PA), Morrow Co OH Genealogical Society, Osborne Co KS Historical Society.

Use the "Suggest a Correction" feature on the appropriate memorial to submit information or any requests. I follow the Find-A-Grave guidelines regarding the transfer of memorials. Any transfer requests should only be for direct relatives within four generations. This would be siblings, parents, grandparents, great-grandparents, children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

Duplicate Memorial
I just noticed your memorial for Addie Fisher Mackay at Waxahachie City Cemetery. It seems to be a duplicate of # 69840994. There is a headstone photo with their names spelled Mackoy. I thought you'd like to know. Also, I've sent an edit request to add her maiden name Fisher, and to link her father, whom is also interred there.

I don't understand why you want me to delete this woman's husband and put unknown. This is the husband that is shown in the obituary.

Fanel/Fan El Simmons 71880872
I changed her name on the memorial to Fanel as you requested but the obituary and the census also say Fan El.

Thanks for taking the grave photo for this woman. The guy named Mark who posted a photo of grass has nothing on his contributor's page that allows people to message I send an email to F.A.G. asking them to delete his grass photo. Thanks for your always.

RE: Milton Eddy
It was all of our pleasure to do it. My husband has a lot of relatives buried in the Old Mausoleum. They are indeed hard to take pix of the marble plates + the bronze gates. My husband and I took 3 trips there, 2 of them for retakes and my friend from back there will be going in for more retakes...sigh.

RE: Milton Eddy
The info you were given is not as specific as what I sent you; they did not know the specific location in the Old Mausoleum. Thanks for changing it and was so happy to be able to obtain permission for 4 of us to go in and take pix of all the plates.

Hello Jan,
Was wondering if you could add my brother to my Mothers Find a grave page. He recently passed
away. Here is the information I have.

John Lowell Killman 07-15-1947-7/13/2014
He was born in OKC, Okla and died in Tuscon Arizona, handled by Evergreen Funeral Home. His body was cremated, ashes scattered at sea.
If you could just add his name and DOB and DOD, I would be forever greatful. Many thanks for what you do.

RE: Dave Ramo
Hi Jan, the last few days I had made some new entries to I found a Photo and 5 more wives.

My tree (Ramo Family tree) is public on I did a copy of the url for Dave's page

Some of the stuff I ran across was a picture of his last wife Johnnie Cue Carloss at the gravestone in your photo. I have not scanned that one in yet to upload. I did a preliminary scan of a 1945 2 inch by 3 inch black and white of Vincent Ramo (my father) With Dave Vincent Ramo (his father) just as Vincent (My Father) was leaving at the rail station for WWII service. He lied about his age and went in as Airborn at age 15.

To be honest Dave was enigmatic at best, secretive. And appears to have been busy his 64 some odd years The first half in and around Springfield, Ohio. And some unsubstantiated possibilities of travels to Spain and Edinburgh in the 1920s.

I would love to just buffer in an Obit, but to be honest, it is unclear where all he was much less who he was. Just last week new access to the Oklahoma historical society found OKC OK county records of marriage and divorce of 4 or 5 wives between 1921-1930.

Hi Jan, I was very surprised to see this. This would appear to be the only photo of Dave Ramo, A flat marker photo you added in 2011. I live on North side and have driven by Rose Hill many times over the years. Not so often since lakeshore drive freeway opened. I was looking for a map of Rose Hill to get an idea of where Dave and some other relatives are on the grounds of Rose Hill. About all I can see from memory is around left a short way before the mausoleum to the Ball marker. That was one visit in the 70's.

Thank you for your efforts. it is a good photo of Dave's marker.

RE: National Memorial Park Cemetery, VA
Thanks, Janet. I started working on it in 2008 and have spent the majority of my time in sections U, X, W, H, Garden of Ascension, Last Supper, Fountain Court, The Cloisters, Cremation Garden, and recently K - though some days I like to rove. I also help people with photo requests whenever I can but if they don't list the plot number it is hard to cover 200 acres searching and I don't want to wear out my welcome at the funeral home office! :)
