Bio and Links
Bio Photo Carolyn B. Leonard, author, freelance magazine writer, genealogist, speaker, past president of Oklahoma Writers Federation, recently honored in Kentucky for locating and marking graves of American Revolutionary Patriots. She is author of the book "Who's Your Daddy? A Guide to Genealogy from Start to Finish" and she enjoys presenting workshops and programs to help people find their family's place in history.

If you see incorrect or missing info on a memorial that I manage, I will be happy to fix that. (Please provide info on where your info can be sourced) Also I am happy to transfer any immediate family members to another volunteer. Findagrave guidelines say request only transfer within four generations, but I sometimes agree to transfer more distant relatives - so long as they are not also my ancestors. Be sure to include your name and volunteer number in your request to make it easier. Use the "Edit" tab on the memorial which will provide me a hotlink to the memorial.

Please cite my name as reference if you choose to use any photos that I have posted here and PLEASE do not copy the bios or photo to give to Ancestry; that is not a free site. Please show the courtesy of asking permission and telling me where you want to use the info. I have spent a lifetime collecting the info and want to keep it free. Thank you.

E.L. Wall
My Wife is a descendent of E.L. Wall (Edgar Lee Wall), that is Buried in Buffalo, Harper County, Oklahoma. I was curious on, if you knew of any other info about him. His Day of Death? Maybe a Photo of His Headstone? if that possible it would be so amazing

Theodore "Banta" wrote a genealogy of the Sayre Family published 1901. Has been reprinted. Has had a follow-up genealogy available on-line that continues his numbering system. Hilda

Chacey - Mt Muncie Cemetery
Hi Carolyn. I wanted to let you know that I have uploaded your request for Louise Chacey. There were 3 others buried on the same plot: her husband, Don; 2 others Lolas Lanham & Grant Lanham Jr.
I added a photo for Don and created memorials for Lolas and Grant. Lolas' death date matches Grant's birth date so I believe Lolas passed away giving birth to Grant.

I tried to find her husband, Grant Lanham Sr. and I think I did. He is buried at Fort Leavenworth National along with an infant daughter, Lura. I found a listing for Grant Sr. on in the military with Lolas as his wife, so I think its a strong case for him being buried there, he just doesn't have a memorial for him.

Best Regards
Shannon B.

RE: Susannah Harley
Hi, Carolyn,

You have a keen eye, thanks for writing. Yes, I know I've made a duplicate memorial for Susannah Carey Brittenham Harley. The person who made the other one refuses to correct hers (has wrong solomon brittenham as husband, among other errors); we've communicated, she stands firm. So I'm going to leave my duplicate up until told otherwise by Find A Grave. And, yes, mine is the more correct one. Thanks for your concern.

I added the changes you suggested about the his name. Thank you. I feel that since the original obit is linked to in the memorial a bio taken from the obit isn't necessary.
