Bio and Links
Bio Photo I am retired and enjoy working on genealogy as a hobby. I have a masters degree from the University of Oklahoma and I'm using my research skills to hunt down my ancestors. is a terrific web site.
My ancestors include but are not limited to:
Allison, Campbell, Morris, Johnson, Holdsworth, Baird, Kirkpatrick, Phillippi, Worley, Sweeney, Vaught, Watson, Dale, Wheeler, Hoyt, Newman

I make an effort to connect husbands, wives and families using obituaries and census records.

As many of you know, I have spent hours taking photos in the Rose Hill Burial Park in Oklahoma City in order to create memorials. I also do research in the Oklahoma Historical Society Library for some of my memorials.

Member: Oklahoma Historical Society, National Trust for Historic Preservation, Civil War Trust, Friends of Mt Vernon, Colonial Williamsburg Foundation, National Women's History Museum, Pulaski Co KY Historical Society, Cornerstone Genealogical Society (PA), Morrow Co OH Genealogical Society, Osborne Co KS Historical Society.

Use the "Suggest a Correction" feature on the appropriate memorial to submit information or any requests. I follow the Find-A-Grave guidelines regarding the transfer of memorials. Any transfer requests should only be for direct relatives within four generations. This would be siblings, parents, grandparents, great-grandparents, children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

RE: Agnes McMillan Dodd

Thank you!

I do know about the edit feature - I just thought that you wanted to list her memorial in her maiden name for some reason.

Best wishes,
High Plains :)

Sibyl Silvia Johnson Soard

I noticed that the spelling for my mother's middle name is in correct. She spelled it as Sylvia. In fact it is on the grave as SYLVIA.

Also, the dates for her trip to Oklahoma City from her birth town of Phil Campbell AL is not likely to be 1924.

Please contact me via email for additional information about who within our family has the correct information.

My Very Best Regards,
Don Soard

RE: Annabelle Shockley Barger
Annabelle (or Anna Belle) came out to California from Iowa to live with her youngest daughter (my grandmother), Ethel Barger Hough. She shared a bedroom with my mother. She died there (in Los Angeles) in 1936, but I have not been able to find where she is buried (and my mother is now deceased). My mother was an only child, so I have no aunts or uncles who would know. I do have a second cousin who is the daughter of Annabelle's oldest daughter. I will see if she might know where our gr-grandmother is buried.

Incidentally, my family (now, me) pays the Evergreen Cemetery $25/year upkeep on the Shockley lot. That makes me think it's possible that Annabelle was sent back to Evergreen for burial (although that would have been rather extravagant, I think, in 1936!). Her husband (Christian Dale Barger) is buried at Evergreen Cemetery, I think (I have a newspaper article that says he was "taken" to Vinton for burial).

Are you a Shockley descendant?

Ghana Hughes
I fulfilled the request for Ghana but just wanted to make you aware that I did not put chalk on the stone. It was there when I arrived.

I appreciate the headstone photos you volunteer to get, you added a photo to a relative that is not correct and I wanted to see if you could remove the photo so I could request a correct one. Wilburn McAbee Jr. Find A Grave # 41255356 has his father marker, I appreciate it a lot and I will pay it forward.

Buried: Rose Hill Burial Park Oklahoma City, Oklahoma

Ms. Clyde
Please check the photo you have on this memorial. Name on headstone doesn't match memorial. Thanks

Frank Callahan
Thank you Janet for locating an obit for Frank. I just recently found that your Find A grave Email had gone into my spam folder, so I apologize for the delay in posting it. I have moved Frank to the correct cemetery. As a side note there is a stone for him in the Rose Hill Burial Park next to Betty but with no dates on it.Folks like you make this site great! Keep up the great work! Kris.

Cemetery stone
There is no cemetery stone for this person. I don't know if you put in picture or obit.

Foley and Elizabeth Collins
Janet: I am wondering if you would mind transferring responsibility of maintaining the site for Elizabeth J Collins (93449224) and her husband Foley D. Collins( 93449156) to me. I am Robert Carlisle (46839567)and Elizabeth and Foley are my Aunt and uncle on my mom's Jorns side of the family. I wish to make some corrections, add new information and link them to the rest of the Jorns family. My mother is Elizabeth's sister, Effie Etta Jorns Carlisle. (5090812)
