Retired military. Genealogy is a passion but I slow down when football season arrives. Willing to help others as much as possible. I focus on my Stewart roots (West Virginia and Pennsylvania) and the Marshall family on my mother's side (Virginia).|
I have photo documented local cemeteries in my area of James City County, Charles City County, Williamsburg and York County, VA. I am currently working on cemeteries in Surry, Isle of Wight and Southampton Counties, VA.
I have also photo documented several cemeteries in the Hilton Head Island, SC and Kitty Hawk (Dare County), NC areas while on vacation.
If I have added a memorial for one of your family members just let me know your Find A Grave member number and I will transfer it to you.

Thank you for the posted tombstone photos of my grandparents, James and Maggie Lena Moody. I was born in Va. but married and now live 800 miles from there. So not much I can do. All of my relatives are in Va. and NC. There is another Moody across the road if I remember right, Howard Moody. My mother would go by there and called him Uncle Howard, killed in a war I believe. He had a flag on his grave. I don't know if he was my grandfathers brother or not.
Thank you again and have a nice day.

No worries, Ron. Glad everything worked out!

Thanks a million Ron. Its great to have a picture of the headstone with the memorial and will make it much easier to find her gravesite when my father and I go there.
You are right about her maiden name. It is Allee, not Allen as I had it. I've added her obit which clearly states 'Allee'. Thanks for the heads-up.
No, I have not been by to see the Memorial Garden at the church, but will try to stop by soon.
Take Care and have a great day!!

Thank you for all you do on this board. You are amazing
|Trish Crawford Moore||Thank you|
You added a picture of my father's headstone a few weeks ago (Richard Crawford). I haven't had a chance, and also haven't been emotionally ready, to go and see his grave in person, but I really wanted to see his headstone. Thank you so much for the picture. It will make it easier for me to go out and see his grave this weekend.

You took a photo of my uncle's grave and would like permission to use in on my Ancestry tree. Also if you manage this grave memorial, could you transfer it to me so I can link him to the family? Thank you so much

I moved her to the right cemetery! Thanks. Not sure why her obit would state something different.

Ron, I was just looking through my mail and saw that I never fulfilled your request for the stone of Norma Ellen Ashford. So I went to the Cemetery today and took photos and uploaded them. Yes, she is beside her husband. Also, depending on how you are related to the Ashford's you might be distantly related to my wife. Small world huh? LOL!!!

Words cannot begin to express my thanks to you for the service you provide by photographing grave markers most of us would never get to see. I am forever greatful that my gg grandfather was one you chose to take, as I would probably never get to visit his grave as he is buried far from where I live ( Eastern Long Island) and now I can visit through this memorial, as I do not have any photos of him this makes it all the more real for me. I would also like to thank you for your military service to our great country and the sacrifices made to keep us all safe and free. God Bless.
Thank you again
