RE: John Thomas Gouldman
I don't have any access to your book. I just wanted to make sure they were there so I don't go trespassing on someones back yard. From the looks of google maps, the cemetery might be part of someones property. Also if they are I would like to make a memorial for them both on here. I have a portrait of Susan Ann Gouldman I can add.

Have you personally seen the two head stones that are apparently at this cemetery?

RE: John Thomas Gouldman
Would you happen to have any information about where John Thomas Gouldman and Susan Ann Gouldman are buried (the parents of Benjamin Franklin Gouldman, my great grandfather)? On an application for a Confederate Solider headstone filled out by their daughter, Emma Cora Marks Gouldman, she writes the place of burial for John Thomas is the "family cemetery" I went to the cemetery at Ephesus and saw no John Thomas or Susan Ann. Do you have any information on where this "family cemetery" might be?

RE: Balderson
I understand the concept about Find-a-grave and realize that it is memorials for the DECEASED. I agree with you about concerns for identity theft in this world; however, there are millions of memorials including your own that have the living mentioned on a memorial page from obituaries so simply what is the difference? How can you have a memorial without listing the family members somewhere; predeceased and the living? Once published in a newspaper it's public information, so you really can't fully control id theft, as websites share information. If someone is targeted the reality is there are too many online and other resources available in today's technology to find out anything they want about you.

RE: Kilmon
Pardon me Dal,
I have read the death certificate on his memorial and aware of what it says. However, I have been there and walked the whole cemetery and cannot find it, and even had a friend assist me in my search. If you have witnessed the resting place and recall, maybe you can tell me where it is.

Parents for Alverta Callahan Sanford.
I just looked at this person and she is the daughter of Thomas Chewning Callahan Sr. rather than Jr.

This is stated on her death certificate which lists her mother as Hannah Gresham, and Alverta is also present in the 1860 and 1870 Census in Lancaster Co, VA in the household of her parents, Thomas,Sr. and Hannah.

RE: John Thomas Gouldman
Yes you are correct on all accounts. My grandfather, whom I am named after was Charles Philip Gouldman, husband of Grace Reberg and father to Jeffrey and James (Jim) Gouldman. I apologize for taking so long to respond. I simply just forgot about my inquiry in the midst of other things and also did not really expect a response. My grandfather Charles is buried with his wife in Dunkirk Maryland. Thats in Calvert County. I would like to learn more about his fathers before him and so on. The only name i ever heard of as the first Gouldman in the US or the colonies was Thomas Gouldman. I would like to know more about the Gouldmans before they came to the US as well.

Hinson Family Cemetery
Is the Hinson Family Cemetery located at/near Welcome Grove Cemetery?
There is a listing for Jennie Rock buried at the Hinson Family Cemetery along with a photo of her grave marker.
The odd thing is that her obituary and death certificate list's her funeral and burial at Welcome Grove.
Jennie (or Virginia Ansophia Sanders) was the daughter of Alice D.C. Newman (who later married Thomas A. Jenkins) and Allen James Sanders (died as a Confederate P.O.W. at Point Lookout, MD in 1864).
Jennie married James A. Jenkins (1872), Nathaniel Brook Nash (1885) and Augustus Rock (1906). She was my 2nd Great Grandmother.
