I am originally from the Landon community (5 miles north of Gulfport, MS), but I have lived in the greater Houston, TX area since 1972. I am recently retired and am now able to spend more time on genealogy and cemetery searches.|
I have been actively involved in genealogy since 2005, and I wish I had started sooner. I am a participant in the WEBB Surname DNA project, and I am actively involved in EDGAR, DICKINSON and HIGH Surname DNA projects.
Surnames of special research interest include: WEBB, BEWLEY, VON HASSELN, CARTER, MCCORD, DAVIS, MILLER, HIGH, LAWRENCE, BOBO, EDGAR, WITHERINGTON, WOLLARD, DICKINSON, KINNISON, MCMANUS, BROWN, BATCHELOR, PRIDGEN, DONNELLY, GARNER, STONE, BLUM, HART, MURPHREE, PATTON, SWISHER, WALTERS, ADAM, MCCLEOD, WYLIE, CLARKSON, COTTER, MEARA, MEEHAN, and others, especially in TX, OK, MS, LA, GA, SC, NC, TN, VA, PA, NJ and NY (and England, Scotland and Ireland).
I especially enjoy collaborating with other researchers and finding and sharing more information about our ancestors. Find A Grave has been a wonderful resource for my cousins and me in our ancestral research, and we are trying to increasingly do our parts to contribute.
If any of the memorials I am managing are for your family members (if closer to you than to me), I will be happy to transfer them to you. I continue to be impressed with and inspired by the gracious, cooperative, respectful attitudes of most Find A Grave contributors.

I have never seen a photo of Tillie.
|Gwen Langley Pittman||Tillie Walters|
Thank you Bob for all the updates for Tillie's memorial. I am connected to the Pitts family and through Marion Pitts wife's line. I have a grandmother Pitts on my mother's side and I am distant cousin to Cecia Frances Ponder Pitts (wife of Marion Pitts) on my father's side. Blake and I are forth cousin one time removed. You can claim me as your cousin if you want I will take a closer look at Vermell Landrum Knight. That is a good possibility. Thank you for your help so much.
|Blake Hamm||Re: Cherokee Connection - Surnames: LANDRUM, WALTERS, PITTS|
I hope this message finds you doing well. I'm a great-great-grandson of Tillie Walters. I came across your post on Cherokee Connection while doing some family tree research. I wanted to know if you were able to piece together any more information about the ancestry to Tillie, Vermell, and the brother.
Any information is appreciated, and I hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving and are looking forward to a Merry Christmas.
|Farrar and related families||Meara news: Very exciting.|
|Farrar and related families||Thank you for the further info on Mary Meara.|
I am a Meara descendant and if you have any further info, especially on Missouri Meara families, those would be my relatives. New Orleans too. Thanks!
|Sandy King||Foster info|
Thank you for all of this information. I added Jones Roberts cemetery and all the graves. All the Fosters here your relations? If so I will transfer their management to you.
My relatives in J R are the Welch.

Do you know where he is buried?

We have communicated before about Rosa Webb McBride. I happened to come across the marriage record of Rosa and Henry Thomas McBride. They were married 6-19-1879 in Camp County, Texas. That is one county over from Wood County.

Have transfered Matt Webb. He is not a part of my family, and thought you might want his memorial. Billie Greene
Neither I nor Larry Scott could locate an obit for Edward "Edd" Webb ... it was worth a shot.
