Bio and Links
Bio Photo As an avid outdoorsman and conservationist, I enjoy deer hunting most of all. Until my retirement, it got me away from the stressful demands of an understaffed but very active radio communications center of emergency and non emergency calls, surveillance cameras, alarm systems, police radios, computers and sometimes unreasonable grumpy people.

In my spare time, I'm a master taxidermist that specializes in whitetail deer and freshwater fish mounts. I also work with Buckmasters and Buckmasters Whitetail Trophy Records as a Regional Director and Master Scorer (Missouri, Illinois, Iowa, Minnesota, and Wisconsin). I've had the pleasure of measuring many world record whitetail deer antlers for the record books, RACK, and Buckmasters magazines. I'm writing a book on "Whitetail Trophies of Missouri" which I hope to publish sometime in late 2013 or early 2014.

I became interested in genealogy a few short years ago through an uncle. Since then, I've discovered many interesting facts about our family members. Researching family history has become an enjoyable pastime. I'm interested in learning more about the tribes of McCONNELL, ALESHIRE, DICKERSON, VAUGHN, BARROW, BENNETT, CAMPBELL, FEEZELL, WRIGHT, WINKLE, MALLORY, TEFERTILLER, APPERSON and HEARST. To date, I've logged over 8,800 names to my family tree and that's just the tip of the iceberg.

NOTE: A lot of effort, time in research, and sometimes travel expenses and other incurring fees have gone into this project to help ensure the accuracy of each entry. Therefore, it is our policy NOT to transfer ownership of any memorial unless it is to a responsible immediate family member.

If you would like to contribute information to someone's biography, or if you see a memorial here that needs correction, please let me know and I'll take care of the error immediately. Have an AWESOME day!

RE: Aleshire
My gggrandmother was Elizabeth A. (McDaniel) Woods. Her mother was Harriet (Unknown) McDaniel. We don't know much about her and no one ever seemed to know her husbands name. The only child I have record of for her is Elizabeth, but like I said we don't know anything and anyone that ever knew is gone. Lennie used to visit all the family members and considered himself a cousin, but like I said the names don't match up. Harriet and Elizabeth are both buried in Pembina Cemetery. I wonder if a sibling of Harriet's may be from where his line originates. I know that his mother was supposed to be half Cherokee and all of my cousins seem to think our Ggrandmother Sarah Woods Campbell (Elizabeth's dau) had the appearance of part Native American. I have googled Lennie and checked on the Find A Grave and MOGEN sites and know the names given as his parents. Just don't know where he fits into my family. I thought maybe you had extensive family tree info on the McDaniels. I appreciate all of your responses.

RE: Aleshire
No, what I meant was, even though everyone in my family has grown up being told Lennie was our Grandpa Charley Campbell's cousin. I am having a hard time connecting him to my family. My gggrandmother was a McDaniel. I know his mom was Mary McDaniel. I just wondered if you had some kind of exstensive family tree that included the McDaniel/Aleshires. I have an exstensive ancestry.com family tree, but the McDaniel limb is "poorly." Thanks for responding Mary

Aleshire
I notice that your bio states you have an interest in the ALESHIRE family. I was wondering if you were part of that family. I would love to talk to someone that knows their history. I am having a problem "placing" Lennie Aleshire Find A Grave"11639595 in my family tree. any help?

Carl R. Chapman
You put his site on Find A Grave buried in Dadeville Masonic Cemetery Mem# 27752272. I was wondering if there is a Ryan Demitre Chapman there? According to his sisters he is buried by their Dad who is Carl Robert Chapman the one you put in. Are you close enough that you could check. That would be so nicw and how would you find an obituary for them? Thank you for all your hard work. It is so appreciate.

RE: Darrell Dean Daniel
Since another member added the photo I will send her a message asking her to add the photo to your memorial before I delete.

It's odd that neither Connie nor I saw your memorial. Did you always have it listed in Collins?

Thanks for letting me know about the two memorials. If you find anything else I would appreciate it if you would send it through the Edit tab on the memorial.

Hello Mr. McConnell,

I wanted to thank you for posting the parents of Mary. I was also wondering if you had anymore info on her parents, and if you knew exactly who the Cherokees were in her family?

Thanks,
Kelly Briggs :)
