RE: Mary E Walker
Thank you for confirming her maiden name as Walker. I'll go ahead and request a change on the memorial. Best regards, Bill

#76207580 Mary Eliz. Hedden
Louie - I just found Mary's obituary below. The names of the four sisters match the Walker daughters of Sarah Frances Fidler Robertson (see my other message). I believe this suggests very strongly that Mary Hedden's maiden name was Walker, not Wolford. Let me know what you think - Bill

#59294982 Edward E. Gudgel
Louie - Referencing the comment on this memorial that Edward Gudgel's 2nd. wife's surname was Wolford, not Walker, would you please recheck this? Mary's death certificate has her parents listed as Nathaniel Walford & Sarah Fiddler, however the informant is not a family member, but the Christian Church Widow's House. According to the obituary of Sarah Frances Fidler Robertson (see memorial #160797459) one of her daughters was Mrs. Mary E. Hedden of Louisville Ky. Mary's name was shown as Bettie Walker in the 1880 Mercer Co. census, which fits well with what is stated in Edward Gudgel's obituary, that he had married Miss Bettie Walker. I think the death certificate is probably wrong and that Mary's father was actually a Walker. Please let me know what you think. Best regards - Bill Cheatham

Cornelius Butts
I need proof he died in Arizona. He was never near Arizona as far as I can tell. I won't approve the change until I have proof that's where he died. Thanks

Thank you for your research. Sometimes the markers are buried or destroyed by nature.
