|Bio and Links|
I've been researching my family genealogy for a quite a few years now and it's become one of my passions. |
I've found cemeteries to be such a valuable resource for genealogical information and have lengthened the branches of my family tree - thanks to physically visiting cemeteries and by 'virtually' visiting cemeteries on this site.
I hope that by recording graves in the cemeteries that I visit will help others. Feel free to use my headstone photos for your research and give credit (my name or a link to the memorial page).
I worked very hard to add these graves and photos to this site. I am more than happy to add any additional information to any memorial. If you are requesting a transfer, please make sure that it is within guidelines (they are a direct relative within four generations). Also, please make the transfer request through the "edit" tab on the memorial page.

I was going to ask permission to use Martha Ann Fullwood Bedell Thomas grave picture, but see your blanket permission-and always add who did it.

Thank you!! I will get cracking on her bio after the weekend. I will also submit some bio material on her parents. Her father owned a piano store in Columbia, and her mother was a noted collector of antiques-there was a magazine article on her collection but I haven't been able to find it. This family was well known, highly regarded, and frequently reported on in Columbia.
|Jan B||My First Visit to this Site|
Hello Valerie! This is my first visit to this site and I was pleased to find that you have recorded information about my grandparents, Richard P. Hopkins (66593076) and Grace Baker Hopkins (66593015), and Uncle, Forrest B. Hopkins (66593129) who are buried at Westview Cemetery in Atlanta. (I've also submitted an edit request to add Forrest B. Hopkins to the listing for my grandparents since he was their son who died just before his second birthday.) Another member has already cross-referenced my other uncle, Hiram Edwin Hopkins (100477219).
I am wondering if it would be possible for you to add my parents, Richard P. Hopkins Jr and Marguerite V. Hopkins, who are also buried in the same plot. Since I live in Baton Rouge, LA, I rarely get to visit the Atlanta area. I do not know if you are in a position to help; but if not, perhaps you can advise me as to how I might go about doing this. Thank you so much for all you are doing!(7/16/2014)

I took a photo of this headstone and cleared it up quite a bit in my computer. I can clearly see the DOB as Dec 8, 1834 and the year of death as 1901. Sorry, I did not use the usual edit route, but wanted to comment so you would know how I got the information.

Sorry about the blank message. I have taken additional photos of markers for Myers at New Hope Cemetery and Martins at Pine Grove Cemetery and posted them on their memorials. I missed a couple of Myers but will look for them next time I head up that way.

While taking the picture for your request of Nancy Jane Albea Martin I noticed there were several names on the cemetery site of Martins that did not have photos. I have taken a photo of all the Martins I could find and will post them this weekend. Hope these help.
