I am grateful to my mother, niece Diane and cousins Margaret and Pauline for sharing with me the research they had started on our family tree. Once I began researching and adding to what they had started I began having so much fun learning about all our relatives that I find no stopping point. To me this is more fun and enjoyable than reading a book, TV, and other activities that once took up so much of my time. My current tree has grown to 2480 relative and I haven't even started on the Tillmans my married name. My recent find was an extended family member that started a Mico post office in his home about 1880 and his two sons delivered the mail twice a week by horseback to the star route in Mississippi. Later one of the sons became the postmaster and moved the post office to his new home several miles away. This was interesting since my deceased husband was a rural mail carrier in Stone Mountain, Lilburn and Bethlehem, Georgia. I was a sub mail carrier in Stone Mountain about 1963-1965.|
If I have taken a photo and posted it on Find A Grave of a relative or friend of yours, feel free to make copies. I feel it would be selfish of me to post photos of your relatives and then not allow you to have copies of your own relative for your family tree. I was reminded of this when reading Philippians 2:3-5 "If you have any encouragement from being united with Christ, if any comfort from His love, if any fellowship with the Spirit, if any tenderness and compassion, then make my joy complete by being like-minded, having the same love, being one in spirit and purpose. Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit, but in humility consider others better than yourself. Each of you should look not only to your own interest, but also to the interest of others. Your attitude should be the same as that of Christ Jesus. " I get so excited when I find a missing relative and lots of them were found as a result of the generous hours donated by FAG volunteers. I am so grateful. So enjoy and happy researching.

You're welcome! Glad I could help!
|Frankz||RE: Weatherly graves|
wait a minute, we might have a 2nd one.
You have a memorial for their son John Daniel Weatherly in Evergreen Memorial Park in Athens.
There is a marker, without a DoD, for John D. Weatherly in Barrow Memorial Gardens, and it is right next to the marker for John S. Weatherly:
and I mean immediately next to it, same row, 3' away.
I didn't create a memorial for John D. since there wasn't a DoD, so I only made the one for the spouse Grace S. But that's a different spouses name than the one on your memorial. Married twice?

Once you figure out which one they're actually buried at, you can email firstname.lastname@example.org and ask them to mark the other (empty) ones as cenotaphs.
Then I'd add a note in the bio of all of them, the 2 memorials they're actually buried at and the 2 cenotaphs, saying which is which and linking to the others.

|Family Line Keeper||RE: Floyd Newman Bennett|
I would definately appreciate a picture of my uncles marker when it has been placed. Patricia Stanley Bennett and Floyd are my aunt and uncle and related to me by way of my mother being the younger sister to my Aunt Pat. In fact, she and my uncle raised me part of my life and I grew up beside their children my cousins Diane, Rick and Cathy as the younger wild child ( so they kid me ). Thank you for your condolences, my Uncles loss was too sudden and no one saw it coming though no one ever does. Please let me know if there is ever a picture, etc that you may need for your research from the area down here in Jacksonville and I'll do what I can to help you.

Morgan is only my 2nd cousin twice removed. If he is not any kin to you, I would be glad to take him: at least until someone closer comes along.
Thanks for the offer.

I am a relative by marriage. You can transfer him to me. Thanks for following up. It took me a while to track him down.
|Bab Grizzle||Thank You.|
Thank you so very much for the kind words and transferring my sister's memorial over to me. I'm sorry if I offended you in any way. I'm just so lost without her. Again, THANK YOU. Bab
|Bab Grizzle||My Sister.|
I am thankful for the people who do this kind of thing. Really I am but, Ester Ann Fielder McDaniel was my sister. I really wanted to be the one to add her to Find A Grave. I was the one to add our brother and other sister. I just needed a little time to come to grips with my grief. I see you added her the day after she died. Could you please turn this one over to me? Not only was this precious lady my sister. She was my Mother and my BEST FRIEND. Thank you, Bab Grizzle
|Mark McCrady||RE: Herbert Arthur Owens|
