Feel free to copy any pic/info I have posted. You do not need to give me credit. If you have taken a picture of a headstone that is better than the one I posted, please feel free to post it to the memorial and let me know so I can remove the one I added.
You do not need to give me credit for any info I may pass on to you. I don't do this for the credit or the numbers, I do it to help others find and connect to their people, which is how I discovered findagrave myself.
If I have sent you an obit or any information it's up to you whether you want to include it or not. When I come across relevant information during my research I share it with the memorial manager. It is up to their discretion if they want to post it or not.
Nearly all of the edits I send are either from a tombstone photo, sexton records, or obit.
I am not responsible for duplication of burial unknowns or memorials placed in the wrong cemetery, that were not placed in a cemetery, or the correct cemetery.
The site rules clearly state that burial unknown, where the cemetery has not been located after 30 days are not subject to the normal seniority rules on resolving duplicates. A contributor who has posted a memorial with a known burial location may as a courtesy remove their memorial if an older unknown burial memorial is edited and moved into the correct cemetery but the contributor who found the burial location first is under no obligation to do so.
A Burial Unknown is one in which you don't know where they are buried. An Unknown Burial is a burial you know is there, but you don't know who it is.
I am descended, on my father's side, from Smith/Hickman; Penawawa/Colfax, Whitman County, WA and McLeod/Peterson; Anatone/Asotin, Asotin County, WA.
my dad's side; Moser/Wieber; Colton, Whitman, WA/Stearns County, MN.
My Mother's side, Myers/Bowles; Myers: Flora, Wallowa, OR and Asotin County, WA. and Bowles/McKorkell, Lewis County, ID and Umatilla County, OR.

Hi Kerry - You added a nice headstone to Sarah Zeigler's memorial - 69055008 - but the memorial is actually a duplicate for the memorial for Sarah Zeiger (which is the correct spelling too, btw : ) Could you please add your nice headstone photo to the original memorial - 28735581 ? I need to ask the person who added the second one to delete it and I don't want to lose your photo! Thanks!

Oh, I wish it were that simple. LOL I didn't add the spouse, as the spouse was already there LONG before I got to the memorial and have no idea who added it. A good friend, who has been on Find A Grave for YEARS said that it's a real "GLITCH" in there system and has been a problem, since they added the "edits tab". When I try to add the parents, it tells me that there is an "error", as "spouse has already been submitted". I can't go and delete that edit for the spouse, because I didn't make it. But, I can delete out the spouse info on the "relationship" page, and it adds the parents but "UNLINKS" the spouse. LOL Is that confusing or what? I did just delete out the spouse once, thinking that they had already been linked, and I didn't link them, so I didn't think that it would matter. Well, then a lady wrote me and told me that she added the parents and had to "re-link" the spouse. It was bizarre. So, if it ever happens to you, DON'T delete out the spouse but do an edit with the "suggestion", as I did. I hate doing it that way, because some people are not active, and I think that some just delete the emails about suggestions anymore . . . and the edit never gets done. I prefer to use the edit tab, as I know that Find A Grave automatically processes them after 21 days or so, so I at least KNOW that the edit will get done eventually that way. Thank you so much for adding the edits. Take care, and God bless.

Kerry I have added two pictures to Mary Ross page. Note there are two different memorial pages for Mary Ross.
|Detelbop||Photo requests fulfilled|
Hi Kerry, I was going to attempt to fill some of your request for Colfax WA this weekend, but in reviewing it looks like pictures were posted but the request were not marked as "fulfilled". I am new to find a grave, and not sure if this is a site issue or personal oversight on the person uploading the photos. If there is a way for you to mark then fulfilled since you are the requester? or something else that would indicate they are not open. I would be happy to look for graves and post pictures for you, just can't sort through all the request and identify which ones are don't have photos.
You do such a nice thing with all your photos you post.

|Vonette ||Koontz photo request|
I was at the IOOF cemetery in M-F for the first time yesterday and got about half the photo requests there filled. I was lucky enough to encounter the caretaker who had a list of burials and took the time to explain the layout and give me as many locations (by block and row) as he had time for. I asked him for a location on Carl Koontz and if he had other Koontzes listed. The only Koontz on his list was George, and I did not find his marker in the indicated row or while walking through most of that section, so he may not be marked. I plan to return there when I can (but it may be awhile), and I will ask how complete their records are and if they have a birth and burial date for George to help confirm if he is Carl's son mentioned in Carl's memorial. Is there a possibility the spelling might be different? I saw a number of "Koon" monuments-- or could it be spelled with a "C"? There are at least 3 Yardleys buried there. I found and photographed two but have not yet located the requested one--George. Might they be relatives of Carl's wife?

|Pat from Sacramento||Carl Cox info|
Thanks so much for the obituary for Carl Cox. I've posted it and it enabled me to make connections to his parents. I appreciate it very much.
Best Regards, Pat
