FINDAGRAVE is a COLLABORATIVE website; Collaboration is working with each other to do a task and to achieve shared goals. It is a recursive process where two or more people or organizations work together to realize shared goals.|
IF you can't or won't collaborate and all you can do is harass those of us that do, perhaps you should find another sandbox to play in ?
Feel free to copy any pic/info I have posted. You do not need to give me credit. If I added a pic you want removed, please send me a message and ask for removal. I take no offense.
If you add a marker pic to a memorial in my care, please send me a sac letting me know, or do the edits, if needed, so I can make sure the page gets updated with any info from the marker. Thanks !
Plot Info: Please include it when creating memorials. How can anyone possibly FIND A GRAVE, (for a photo request or a family member visiting a cemetery), if you don't add the plot info ??????
I document entire cemeteries. I upload the pics to findagrave, then pass them on to others that are working on other cemetery projects and database websites like:
http://www.uscemeteryproj.com/ and http://www.usgwtombstones.org/
Please request transfers by clicking the "EDIT" tab, then suggest corrections. Type your request for transfer in the box, be sure to include your member number. There is no transfer tab.
You do not need to give me credit for any info I may pass on to you. I don't do this for the credit or the numbers, I do it to help others find and connect to their people, which is how I discovered findagrave myself.
IF you feel you do need to make a notation that I contributed info, please DO NOT put my name at the top of someone's bio.. it looks tacky and takes the focus away from the person who the page is about.. please put your notation at the bottom, below the newspaper notation.
If I have sent you an obit it's up to you whether you want to include it or not. Everyone seems to want proof of any and all edits now, so many times I send along the obit, if I can find it, when I send edits.
I am not responsible for duplication of burial unknown or memorials placed in the wrong cemetery, that were not placed in a cemetery, or the correct cemetery.
The site rules clearly state that unknown burials where the cemetery has not been located after 30 days are not subject to the normal seniority rules on resolving duplicates. A contributor who has posted a memorial with a known burial location may as a courtesy remove their memorial if an older unknown burial memorial is edited and moved into the correct cemetery but the contributor who found the burial location first is under no obligation to do so.
I am descended, on my father's side, from Smith/Hickman; Penawawa/Colfax, Whitman County, WA and McLeod/Peterson; Anatone/Asotin, Asotin County, WA.
my dad's side; Moser/Wieber; Colton, Whitman, WA.
My Mother's side, Myers/Bowles; Myers: Flora, Wallowa, OR and Asotin County, WA. and Bowles/McKorkell, Lewis County, ID and Umatilla County, OR

Hi - after a family conference, we are going with your suggested edit. Really appreciate you taking the time to send it. Regards, Phyllis
|Jody Jabbora||Thank you|
I just wanted you to know that I have wondered for years where my paternal grandmother was buried. She died when my father was a baby so I had no info on her and no one to ask. The rest of the family is in the Moscow cemetery, but today I looked at your site and there she was at last! Just down the hill in Lewiston! Thank you for taking the time to perform this service.

Hi Kerry - Re name edit suggestion. I've just sent an email to my aunt who has the Austin Family bible. I'm hoping she will have something in the bible or possibly Jennie's birth certificate. Thanks for sending the suggestion. Maybe we can sort her name out once and for all. Regards, Phyllis

Hello, Would you mind transferring to me? I would really appreciate it.

Hi Kerry: Thank you very much for the photo, sorry there was no stone.... GREAT BIG thank you for the GPS. I have been recording GPS as part of my location markings. Not many yet but yours was a welcome sight.
What App are you using? Have you found it to be accurate? Accurate to within how many feet?

Please go ahead and merge my Wesley Wilbur King record (2008) with the latest record added in 2012. Not sure how to do that myself so I appreciate your help.
The only thing that is wrong about the 2012 record is that it states Wesley & Mary Amanda KING had two sons Charles and William. Charles was my grandfather and I knew his brother GLEN C. King and his family as well! I don't know anything about a William (????). Amanda was a PETERSON.

Thanks for letting me know about the duplication.... sometimes, for whatever reason, records are duplicated when they are entered on Find A Grave.... I have deleted the duplicate. Nice picture by the way!!
Hey Kerry, Want to thank you for all the great work you do with Findagrave. Davies Powell Anderson was born 1923. Josiah died in 1862. Thanks again, Hutch.

I am doing well, thank you. I am still very active in genealogy but mostly in genetic genealogy. It appeared you were doing a good job adding people to Find A Grave. If you have any questions about my ancestors or connections, let me know. :)
