Miriam has been instructing and lecturing since 2005 to various groups in the Inland Northwest. She has been interested in her family history since she was a young girl, living in Southeast Alaska, far from her extended family in Western Michigan. In 1987, she began her genealogy research.
Ten years later, she was successful in reuniting her paternal grandmother--an adoptee--with her biological family. Miriam writes an award-winning genealogy blog, Online Historical Directories and Online Historical Newspapers websites. When not chasing dead people, she crochets, gardens, and bicycles.
If you would like Miriam to make a presentation to your group or would like to see her list of topics, please message her at this profile.
Dr. Richard Whitney Miriam, you might be interested in a CDV photo of Dr. Richard W. Barnum currently listed on ebay. The listing fits the Goodrich, Genesee County listing of your findagrave memorial. I hope this is useful. Jim
Lydia Skidmore Hello, I am a Scidmore descendant and found a death certificate for Freeman Sweers, leading me to Manley Sweers and Lydia Skidmore....do you think that our two Lydia's could be the same? Do you have any record of her in a previous marriage. I see they have different birth dates, according to my family records, all her Scidmore siblings are correct and have attached historical documents. A mystery awaits! Please reply. firstname.lastname@example.org
Thank you for placing your information regarding my relative Friedericke (Wolf) Kuhlmann, Find-A-Grave Memorial No. 142475625. The cemetery information is Greenwood Memorial Terrace, Spokane, Spokane County, Washington.
My question is where were you able to obtain the information listed in the memorial that Friedericke was the , “...daughter of John and Sophie Sandhop Wolf..?” I have searched many records to find a mention of her parents, to no avail.
If you cannot help me, would you know of anyone who could? Thank you for your time and I look forward to hearing from you soon.
Henry Frick Hi Miriam Was wondering if you are related to Henry Frick buried in Ortonville, MI? Henry is the son of my 3 s Great Grandfather John H Frick b 1801 to 1885... John's wife Marius York is my step great grandmother.. I didn't realize you had added Henry and Marium in 2005, as I had added Henry in 2009.. It is so awesome that you live in Alaska... God's Blessings Diana Frick Simons Flint, Mi.
RE: Myron D. Westbrook #12914343 The marker I pictured is the old marker. There has to be another one there that was probably hidden under brush..I will check the next warm day to see for sure. I am also working to get the sexton to clean up the cemetery. Brush needs trimming.
