Bio and Links
Bio Photo I WILL BE HAPPY TO MAKE TRANSFERS WITHIN THE 4 GENERATION "FIND A GRAVE" GUIDELINES. Many of the memorials are of family relations and I would want to talk with you before making transfers. I have been volunteering to take photos at the local "Mountain View Cemetery" in Oakland, CA., since it is very large and gone mostly un-photographed, because of its size and poor contact with the office staff there. Please use the "EDIT" tab to ask for EACH transfer.

For EXTENDED FAMILY MEMBERS I will gladly make additions, corrections or links.
PLEASE USE the "EDIT" TAB on the upper right side of the memorial to send the information and please send the memorial numbers for links.

Please DO NOT leave biographical information and obituaries in a virtual flower.

Thanks to all of you who have sent additional information for the memorials.

I started studying my BABCOCK family just before my daughter was born many years ago, to give her an idea of who her family was & where they came from. I soon got stuck on Sherman BABCOCK b. 1762, in Rhode Island, & now some 37 years later, I now have over 16,000 family members under many different names in many countries from all around the world & 5 beautiful grandchildren. It is now for them, that I continue my research. The family names include: ABERT, BABCOCK, BEDENK, BRAAE-JOHANNESSEN, BURK, BURKE, CASE, DAHLIN, DODGE, GULER, LITTLE, MASON, MCCFARLAND, POUTOUS, PURCELL, PYBURN, RICH, WILLARD, and are among many others I continue to research.

To those of who will grab a cemetery full of information & then refuse to consider close family transfers, because you did the initial work & just want FaG #'s, shame, shame on you & your personal issues & false beliefs. To those who help others out when in times of learning, need, research & make such transfers, I thank you for your work, time & true beliefs. As this is what it is all about!

I welcome any and all comments and corrections.
I truely believe:

"Our greatest treasure is our family, not only the warm circle around the Christmas tree, but all those whose lives gave us life, and those who will carry our love into the future." (Anonymous)

And when it is my time, I will say to all who knew me:

"Do not stand at my grave and weep
I am not there. I do not sleep.
I am a thousand winds that blow.
I am the diamond glints on snow.
I am the sunlight on ripened grain.
I am the gentle autumn rain.
When you awaken in the morning's hush
I am the swift uplifting rush
of quiet birds in circled flight.
I am the soft stars that shine at night.
Do not stand at my grave and cry;
I am not there. I did not die". (Anonymous)

RE: Henry Clayton
I do have Mrs Stones grave marker picture. I just havent uploaded it yet. IWe are having my brother in laws memorial service at my house tonight so I will try and get to it tomorrow. While we were arranging his funeral today, I just happened to look on find a grave and there were two requests at their cemetery, so I took them, along with hers. In case you would like to know, the funeral director said Mr. Stone was one of the finest men that had ever passed through Sparta, Tennessee. I thought that was quite the compliment. What a beautiful legacy he left here in this town.

You're very welcome, Russell. I placed a side-by-side photo since they both were facing forward. In this section that means that both husband and wife served our country.

Alvira Morrison
HI Russell,
I appreciate your time in trying to find the headstone for Alvira Morrison. I was at the Italy Hill Cemetery a couple of years ago, and too was unable to find her. I was hoping that a fresh set of eyes might see her stone. Thanks for looking!

Hi Russell, I do have a photo of Mary Turner's grave. But when I went to post it I noticed that her memorial is listed under the wrong cemetery! I contacted the manager of that memorial and asked them to correct it before I add the photo. I hope that's OK. Let me know...

Mary Jane Sharp
I posted a photo of her grave today in response to your request. Although the dates on the grave and date of burial in the cemetery book do not match, this is the burial for that particular lot and plot. If you would like this photo removed, please message me and I will do so as soon as I get that request.
