I've been interested in genealogy for a long time and thoroughly enjoy the time I spend in cemeteries, whether it's for my own benefit or someone else's. |
If anyone wants to use headstone pictures that I post, feel free -- no royalties required. I'm also happy to take any other pictures of the area that you would like -- let me know what you want and I will do my best.
If you have any additional information that you would like added to memorials that I manage, let me know. I want each memorial to be as complete and accurate as possible. I'm also happy to transfer memorials to relatives/friends who want to manage them, so please don't create a duplicate. I believe that memorials are best taken care of by the people who loved them.
My ultimate goal is to help photographically document all of the cemeteries in my area so that the existence of the people buried there is available to future generations and to ensure that people who can't visit on their own can still see a picture of the stone.
Note re Kirkland Cemetery: This is a heavily treed cemetery and many of the stones are covered in moss. If there is a particular stone that you would like re-photographed, feel free to let me know and I will see what I can do to clean up the stone.
-- Cedar Lawns (done)
-- Kirkland Cemetery (Done. Many, many unmarked graves in this cemetery. Many stones very deteriorated.)
-- Redmond Community Cemetery (Done)
-- Sunset Hills (The outside is complete, with only the Sunset Mausoleum left to finish)
-- Hillside and Upper Hillside (both Issaquah) I have walked both cemeteries, adding more recent memorials and looking for stones not yet photographed.
Although I have marked a cemetery as done, new graves may have been added and/or I may have missed a couple, despite my best efforts to be organized.

Thank you for the photo of the grave site for Lennice.
Having the sight with her son and husband helped verify what I have for them.
Your time and service is greatly appreciated.

I know what you mean, my mom can remember but won't tell. My grandmother was also of the "don't open Pandora's box." My grandmother told me on some of my info it was not true even thou that was in the old days and you used microfish. She wanted to keep info on what she felt it should be...but in the end she finally told me so many wonderful stories which I found out were true. She passed away at 101. My m'in'law was the same...she gave me Fielding family but not her's as she was born out of wedlock and was older than her husband which she did not admit ever...she passed away at 102. Now I'm known as the "Crazy Aunty" since I try to get even the current kids to give info for the future. The hunt is the puzzle and when they get put together it is great. I have taken down my Ancestry due to a merge problem and also have found that so many new folks don't always use the old seeing it but just cut and paste. Because of folks like you on Find a grave I'm able to find the graves of loved ones and finally bring them together. We too better tell our stories before we forget them.

Thank you for the transfer...I hope to find more out on her as I've been trying to reach family by phone...so sad my GrandMother was not able to keep in touch with the family...would of been great to keep in touch.

Thank you for connecting Herbert Ream's memorial to his parents' memorials. Also, thank you for updating Mary Ream's memorial by adding her parents.
|Wendy L Fielding||RE: Quinton P Remund|
Thank you so much...I looked for him forever as my Grandmother used to tell me all about him and how he practiced his boxing on her...she states he was a boxer when younger and "Quinton means eight, Wendy Lee". She passed at 101 and still I miss her and her stories.

I was informed I had a duplicate memorial for this person, and was hoping you would be able to place another picture of his grave site to the correct one, memorial # 139496267, or I can copy and paste it there if you wish before I delete my memorial.

That will be nice. Thank you for your time.
