I enjoy doing family genealogies of local North Fork Families and, as a result, I haunt graveyards on weekends. I would be pleased to share information on these families. Please do email me if you have any interest in the graves I have added.|

Joy, thank you so much for making the additions to the memorial pages on Robert Norcott and Elizabeth (Betsey) Vail Norcott. They are my 5th great uncle and aunt who never had any children. Therefore it's important for me to hold them in remembrance and respect.
|Emily E. Farley Smith||Hashamomack/Arshamomack Cemetery|
Hi Joy Ann,
I have a question and I figured you are much more familiar with the area's smaller cemeteries than I am. I see there is a Hashamomack Cemetery in Southold with 103 memorials in it. I came across a cemetery listed in an obit called Arshamomack which is also listed on Find A Grave. I almost added it but I stopped when I saw there were no memorials listed in it. (The person I was going to add was already listed in Hashamomack.)
My question is this - are they the same cemetery? Did it used to be called Arshamomack and it was changed? I'm curious because the funeral home was the one who listed the cemetery under that name.
If they are the same, I can request that the alternative name be added so that any future memorials are added to the right cemetery no matter what.
Hopefully, I'm making sense. I know what I want to say and I hope it's coming out that way. If I've totally confused you, please let me know.
I hope you have a warm, wonderful and safe Thanksgiving holiday.

|BBP||RE: Inquiry re Noah Terry|
Thank you so much for making the changes on Noah Terry's memorial page. I can only imagine how hard it must be to read some of those very old tombstones.
Also thanks so much for all that you do creating the memorial pages and taking the pictures and posting them for posterity. I would never have known where my 5th and 6th Great Grandparents without your generosity.
I will do as you suggested and put in a photo request to update Noah's tombstone photo.
Thanks again, and happy hunting.

|BBP||Inquiry re Noah Terry|
Hi Joy Ann,
First, thanks so much for all of the work that you do. I am inquiring about Find A Grave Memorial # 15637806, Noah Terry. I have noted a few discrepancies and have some questions. On his memorial page it says Born: 1777 & Died: Oct 15, 1845 - aged 68 years. My Noah Terry actually did live 68 years. My records indicate that he was born in 1747 and not 1777. My records also indicate that my Noah Terry died Oct 15, 1815, and not 1845.
If it's not to much to ask, and if you are in the vicinity of the Terry Cemetery again, I was wondering if it would be possible for you to get a better picture of Noah Terry's tombstone, and a clarification on the inscription? The current pic is very faded and is not taken head on, and I know that it may be very difficult to determine the correct numbers on the stone. My Noah Terry's parents were Jonathan Terry & Lydia Tuthill Terry. I see from Find A Grave that these 2 individuals are buried in this very same Terry Cemetery, so it does make sense that their son Noah was buried here as well. I also see that you maintain their Find A Grave pages as well, so again, thank you so much for all that you do. If you do not think that you will be able to visit the Terry Cemetery again, I can always put in a request for a volunteer to take pictures. Best Regards, Barbara Baker Pierson
