Bio and Links
Bio Photo When I see a cemetery I can't resist the urge to photograph it before time and the elements take it entirely. My wish is for them to be claimed by their families and ownership transferred so that they can be honored properly by their loved ones and I would like to be left with none but my own at the end of it all.

It also tickles me beyond words while researching online to discover my headstone photos as part of someone's family tree; how satisfying that feels. How sad would it be if after all the photos are taken and posted and researched and documented that no one looked at them or cared that they were there. So to those of you (and you know who you are), thanks for caring and you're most welcome.

And while I don't always cite my sources on each memorial, for Long Island special thanks goes to Carolee Nichols Diamond and David Roberts for their unending patience and wealth of information, the transcriptions of Elbert N. Carter and longislandgenealogy and Ancestry, (with a nod to the New York Genealogical and Biographical Record, various volumes)

Hi Aislin,

I was only going by what was inscribed on David's headstone.... "20 years and 1 month", that would be a pretty good indication, yes.

Hi Aislin,

If David was 20 years and 1-month old, wouldn't he have been born on April 11th? Just curious.
