I will be happy to make correction on any of the persons I have entered information on. Also if family would like to take over an entry just let me know. I have worked mostly on the Catlin cemetery in Kelso, WA but have also added many of my family and friends thoughout the states.|

You are right he had three wives. Pearl is buried next to him while Ollie and flora are both buried in Block 10.
Both Merritt and Pearl are buried next to his parents.
sorry for all of the confusion I caused.
She is listed in our cemetery records as Pearl Maude Huntley so I just figured that was her name.I do not know her maiden name but in several newspaper accounts she is simply listed as Pearl. I am not sure why I put Rose Pearl on her memorial. I will have to check that out. When I was doing so much research on our records I may have come across something that stated Rose Pearl. If I don't find anything I will change it to Pearl Maude. Sorry for any confusion.

M is for Maude.
She killed herself when she found out her husband was going to War. He found her when he came home for lunch. They lived about 8 blocks from where I live now.

I'm pleased with you managing them, but am happy to take any that you want to give. My direct line is only with George McClellan Orton, son of Nathan Orton and Frances Snook. Thanks!

thank you so much for all the work you've done to photograph Orton and other families at that cemetery. Such valuable historical work! I am still posting photos of them from the 1800s if you care to check them out. Just posted a lovely one of Frances Jane Orton Leonard. Cheers
Jean (descendant of Ortons)
