Bio and Links
Bio Photo We live in a small town in Iowa and recently became members of the Pioneer Cemetery Commission for our county. We have been interested in genealogy for several years and spend a lot of time in Graveyards and Cemeteries taking pictures, taking notes, just piecing the families together.
The peace and serenity found in these old cemeteries is our reward!

We have come across cemeteries where the headstone markers have disappeared... they are unreadable, broken, buried, or have fallen etc . The Cemeteries are so old that there are not any other records of the people resting there. When these cemeteries go...so does that person's existence!
We would like to thank all of you for your contributions to preservation of these cemeteries.

If there is a memorial we have added, that is not in our family, we will consider a transfer of the memorial to you.
Please use the Edit tab,(upper right hand corner of the memorial) Please do this on every memorial that you want transferred or a correction on and please include your ID number.

If ever you decide you no longer want to maintain the records please transfer your records to someone who has an active account and willing to take over the records. There are many out there willing to do this!
It would also be a good idea to leave someone instructions on how to make these transfers should you go inactive without warning.
If the need arises Andrew has accepted the stewardship over the memorial in our care.
Thank You, Mo & Dave

RE: Mick Cash
Hi Dave, I'm related through the Gates side too (partially). Timothy Joseph Gates, mother was Sarah McMinn. Sarah's mother was Elizabeth Livick and that's where I'm related. My great grandmother was a Liffick, from Marshall, IL. Elizabeth's older brother, George Washington Livick, moved to Marshall, Clark County, IL and there are a TON of Livick's there. He spelled it Levick but the spelling transitioned into Liffick, Livvix, Livick with his descendants. If you're a descendant of Timothy Joseph & Jacob Hamilin Gates, we're cousins.

Elizabeth is a 4th Great Grand Aunt to me and in searching the family tree, I've found your work on Find A Grave. You have done a WONDERFUL job of documenting information and providing family photo's on their memorials. I just wanted to thank you for doing such nice work, you've set a good example.

Surprise!
Mo,
When I sent you a message and asked about a picture you had posted on my great-grandfather's Find A Grave memorial, I was shocked and very happily surprised to find that he was your grandfather and that you and I are related.
Not only have I received some great pictures of some of my family members, I have gained a new relative and friend.

I can't thank you enough, dear cousin.

Thanks for your work,

I was adding the FINDAGRAVE for Simon Buster from your post and noticed a difference in birth dates, mine 1843, this one 1848, so I looked up the records. Same date different years 1843 matches the census records that I have attached to Simon's record.

Thanks for your efforts, Victor "Dave" Veber

Mo Memorials 2 Make
the email with my unlisted number on it
Mo, I have asked several times now. Please remove the message I sent you that contains my unlisted phone number. I DO NOT understand why you want to make me beg, suffer, be uncomfortable and take your form of abuse, bullying and controlling ways, but I can tell you, as a disabled new person to Find A Grave, I hope there are not many other people LIKE YOU on here!

We are related but I don't think you will have to worry about me showing up for supper! Now pleaseeeeeeeeeeeee remove that message to you with my UNLISTED NUMBER ON IT!

I feel sorry for you Mo, you should feel ashamed of yourself, because your status and position you have built in Find A Grave, does NOT portray Find A Grave in a good light or godly fashion, due to your actions and treatment of others.

Find A Grave is a place (I THOUGHT) for people to honor their loved ones that have passed and share their memories, stories with others and meet new family, we never knew existed. To help others learn about Find A Grave, so they too can help others, while searching and running across info. Along with updating other Find A Grave's with important info and facts, to help, assist others to find their loved ones etc..

You are showing me that my thinking was wrong, and for that reason alone, along with~~ we are related. I was so happy to have found you (being live kin, because most of mine are dead)and I was ecstatic in thinking we could form a relationship and share memories and stories of our family and trade photos etc!

So with that, I am so sorry things didn't work out and this is the end of my communication to you. I will wait the MONTH, YOU SAID IT WOULD TAKE YOU TO TRANSFER MY DADDY TO ME, SO I CAN TAKE DOWN THE OBIT AND GET HIS 7 WIVES AND KIDS ETC ON THERE, without having to wait a month each time I want to have something added by you etc. Actually, I wouldn't have had to contact you this time either IFFFFFFFFFFFF you had done as I asked and removed my phone number from your messages the first and second time I politely asked you to remove it.

Praying for you Mo and hoping one day, you will get over whatever is bothering you so much, about me- your family- to make you treat me so poorly. God help us all! I sure have went above and beyond, to resolve these issues and I am done trying.

Please take my number down from yourrrrrrrr message board for the 3rd time.

Love, prayers and blessings to you from my house to yours, Karen Renee' Baxter Gorman

Hi Mo,
I would like my Daddy to be transferred to me, so I can personalize it, and do things the way HE WOULD LOVE. I think this is the 3rd or 4th time now that I have begged you to release them to me and I saw some of them but not my Daddy! Is there a reason, why you are doing this? Why you refuse to acknowledge me? Why you refuse to answer my messages to you? Have I done something wrong or offended you in some way? If I have, please accept my apologies. You were the very first person I contacted on here and I was so thrilled and excited, but when I asked for help from you (me being a newbie), all you did was send me the same message back again, telling me, you were from the Israel Baxter line.

I am sorry to have ruffled your feathers, and for some reason become a threat to you, to make you treat me the way you are. Maybe there is a personality clash~~I am not sure what makes you be so cold, impersonal and mean to me, but I can tell you your treatment is not a nice way to greet a new member of Find A Grave or make them want to return and be a part of the Find A Grave family! We are related, and I can't change that MO. I just don't want to be a bother to you. I just want to honor and personalize MY FAMILY with personal memories and such.

Maybe I bother you because I am disabled and inept to something you seem to thrive in, via the numbers you have in Find A Grave and the work you have contributed to many families, searching for their loved ones! I applaud you for that!

Actually Mo, I see a lot of my Daddy in you- believe it or not! It's funny! Well, hope this clears up, whatever you have against me and judge me for. I won't contact you anymore, if that's what you desire, just communicate with me, so I will be on the same page as yours. I hate making this public but my computer won't allow any other way of communication under IE and it has to go back to the shop. Just so ya know why, I send it here.
I would appreciate it also if you would remove my contact with you, on your message board that contains my unlisted phone number. Thanks in advance! I gave it to you so we could talk, due to being related, but I also see you couldn't care less. I sure don't need a brick house to fall on me, to understand you have no use for me or just don't like me. Mo, I already have family that treats others like that, I sure don't need more to add to them. Sorry I have became a thorn in your side, I can't seem to do right for or by you- so all I can do is apologize to you and hope deep down in your heart, you will tell me what I did to you, to receive this treatment. I am sorry cause my intentions were never to hurt another human being. I love people and try to help out where I am able. Guess that's the Nursing profession for the aged folks, still instilled in me.

I am brand new to this and learning as I go, trying to do things correctly but making mistakes, meeting new people etc. Yes, I may have been over enthusiastic when I first wrote you, but I was so thrilled to have met new relatives "LIVE ONES". I saw right off the bat though- your endeavor's aren't like mine

I saw where you just posted the obit on my Daddy's Find A Grave and I thought we weren't allowed to do that, per Find A Grave rules, or am I mistaken? It does seem a bit cold I reckon, as if the dead aren't worth the time of the living-

You see my Daddy was married 7 times and I know you don't have all that info and personal memories and history. It's just too much to go back and forth with to get it all correct and tweaked perfectly.

Thanks for your help. I know you are collecting BAXTER'S, but I would like mine to put all the special touches and info on them. I have done my very best to clear up this misunderstanding between us- all the while, never even knowing why you have taken the stance and position you have against me.

Blessings, Karen Renee' Baxter Gorman

I was curious if I could be allowed to use one of your photos on my family tree? If so, what do I need to put as the reference?
