(DAR # 794872 - James Stell Cubberly VA).
I am researching my family names -- and their branches -- of Hill, Schneider, Diegelman, Coberly/Cubberly/Coberley, Glass (the BIG mystery), Wigert, Anderzen/Anderson, Strickler, Shriver, and Renfro. Also researching my husband's Wolford, Sears, Vigil, Dominguez clans of Union County, NM.
I don't have a whole lot of strict, rigid rules, policies, regulations, etc. so if you'd like to manage a memorial I have added just let me know. I always appreciate additional information and corrections and promise to do my best in handling your requests.
Feel free to add documents (Death Certificates, Marriage Certificates, etc.) to the memorials I have added or maintain. They are a great source of research for others to use. Also, feel free to use any of the photos I have posted as they are intended to be shared. | |

 | Gale F. Brown, 56642703 I saw the message you left for the person who added the photo of Gale Brown to his memorial. You stated your uncle also perished in the same crash. My father Victor Koelling of Warrenton, MO also was in the 391st bomb group as Gale and your uncle but in the 572nd squadron. Dad always told me that he ate breakfast with one of my mothers cousins but that he did not return from his mission. That cousin was Gale. He is my 3rd cousin. Growing up in Warrenton, I used to wait on his mother when I was a teller at the bank 40 years ago not knowing of the relationship.
I see the Renfro name among those you are researching. I too have Renfro relatives; perhaps our branches cross somewhere up in the treetops!

 | RE: John LaPlant Memorial You're welcome!
Since the last time we were in touch I found that John's parents had moved to Corpus Christie, Texas by November, 1945 when John's picture was published in the Vermont Journal. He also had a sister in service, Pfc, Mary LaPlant who was stationed in Nevada, and two brothers in the Navy, James and Walter.
I've added John to the virtual cemetery I've been working on to honor the young men from Windsor who sacrificed all. True heroes each.

 | Renfro Family of California I have Renfros that moved to California. I checked my book that I keep at the office for all the Walters that I had. I could not see where they moved to California. I know of two branches that moved to California. James Harvey Renfro's wife (he died around 1848 and his wife remarried to a McArthy). He was a brother to two of my ancestors: John H Renfro and Isabella Renfro. They were children of Isaac and Mary McKibben Renfro. James Harvey's children were born in MO, but he was born in Barren CO, KY.Isaac Renfro's father John Renfro 1760 was in the Rev War.
If you can provide me with some dates, I will look them up on ancestry.com. I have many Renfros listed in my database at home, so hopefully can find a connection for you.
Please write to me at renfrosk@murlin.com
