Bio and Links
Bio Photo I am a Middle Tennessean happy to keep an eye out for relatives of others while pursuing my favorite hobby, searching for interesting grave shelters in small, rural cemeteries. Gravehouses, shelters, tents, rock tombs and cairns--they're all vanishing quickly, so will take them where I can find them, and appreciate your suggestions. The motherlode of rock tents/combs, the Cumberland Plateau, is my favorite stomping ground.

I look forward to filling photo requests in some out-of-the-way places, as long as you're not in a hurry. If corrections are needed to memorials I've added, or if you would like additional information, feel free to leave a message here or send email to my address.

You are welcome to use my photos for non-commercial purposes without obtaining my prior permission, as long as their use is within the rules and guidelines of Findagrave.com, and provided the ownership source is clearly stated each time.

When adding memorials for people outside my family, I often try to link family members using online genealogy sources and common sense, especially when the burials were observed. Undoubtedly, some of those links may not be accurate. If you can shed light on the subject, please don't hesitate to contact me.

It's a delight to be part of the awesome assembly that is Find A Grave!

RE: Sampson Bethel request @ Salem
If he's buried in the same area, then you could just upload the same picture. Thanks.

Harriet,

I am not sure if that is their child or not. It could be. Thank you for the photo of Louise. I appreciate it very much.

Thank you,
Glenda Rowland

RE: Nancy Moore Whaley
I have a file of the 1900 census, a picture of it. Since he died in 1901, this was his last home. The family under his name is probably his 3rd wifes family. I thought her maiden name was Hawkins, but it may be Hawker. The census shows the District in DeKalb and the post office being Liberty. They were married 12 years when he died and so I think he is probably buried with his last wife.

I can send a good copy if you have an email that you feel comfortable giving me, or maybe I can post it to the DeKalb genweb site.

I think they were District 13 or 14 in DeKalb.

Thanks so much for all of your help.

Nancy Moore Whaley
Thank you so much!!! How wonderful of you! I have done this for other people here in Idaho and I know it involves hard walking and work! Thank you. Since Isaac Whaley was married 2 more times, maybe he is married with one of his other wives. I will do research in that direction. How I wish I lived there! I am related to many of the people in that graveyard. The Bethels, the Basses, Whaleys, the Moore, etc. Thomas Whaley came with Adam Dale in 1797.

I wish I could meet Thomas Webb, he has given so much of himself to the county.

Thanks again.
