RE: Wright family of Sandwich, Mass
Yes, I'm involved. Our male line is this Sandwich, MA family so my uncle did a ydna test. We don't match with any other Wrights, but do have a match to another surname (just uncertain where that NPE is, likely with these guys I'm looking for). We've also done autosomal testing and I'm working through all of those matches, but nothing yet to id these two men or discredit the family commentary documented in a book in the 1800's. I'm on the FTDNA Wright project and the new Facebook Wright DNA group (if you don't know about it). I'm sure there's a rock I haven't turned over yet, so I'll keep looking.

No worries. I couldn't paste in a pic. here. I don't have the membership thing either, it was just a cached version that I saw. If you're not related to the New England Wrights, I understand. I'll keep digging around. There are just sooooo many Wrights :-).

Venie Stultz memorial
Hi Jay,

Hi Jay, yes I know some detailed information about Venie. I'm still looking for her father's burial. He died post Civil War c. 1869. In census records she was first referred to as Vina Hatfield with her two brothers Cary Allen Hatfield and Samuel McClellan Hatfield, Jr. Once her mother Mariah Strain remarried to Levi Stultz her name changed in census records to Veni Stultz. I believe she was adopted by her mother's new husband since she was much younger than her two brothers and they moved on to Oklahoma, Texas and finally California. I'll gather the data and send it to you privately. Thank you Jay.

RE: Wright family of Sandwich, Mass
Hi Jay. Thank you for the quick reply! Very odd. The google search took me to the "My Heritage" site, which I've never used. It references the Everton's Genealogical Helper Jan 1978. It posts the names of the 2 men I'm desperately looking for (Martin Wright & his son Luther Wright) along with your name and address. Here's the link to the page if it works (I can't past a screenshot).

Wright family of Sandwich, Mass
Hi Jay. In doing a google search, your name popped up with an inquiry about a Joseph Wright of Sandwich, MA and his father Luther and grandfather Martin. Are you related to them, did you have any success tracking down Luther or Martin?

I am descended from one of Joseph's sons and have been trying to tear down this brick wall without much success. Any information you might have would be extremely helpful.

Thank you!

RE: #137389427 Martha Jane Young
Hi Jay,
Thank you for the note in regards to Martha Jane Young. I worked off the old transcripts and just jotted down what they had written. I tried to view the marker, it is very hard to see, but does look like aged 28 years ? months and ~ 29 days. It would be closer to that age, if she is 10 in 1850 born ~ 1840 and by 1860 aged 20 and death in 1868 she would have been 28. I noted that in the remarks now. Sylvia
