|My love of genealogy began with my parents who did a great amount of research on each of their families. This was before they died in the 1970's. I didn't want their research to be lost or forgotten. So I began to do further research adding information to their records, and most of all to share all of the research with extended family. I love the challenge of finding records of proof for each date given. |
You have my permission to use the gravestone pictures I have submitted to Find A Grave for your genealogy records, along with a notation giving me credit for them.
Please do not print out a biography I have written on any Memorial page and add that biography to ancestry or any place else. Content submitted on Find A Grave is copyrighted.
As I work on my family's genealogy I have added names of family and where they are buried so I can share that information with extended family members, and the burial locations will not be lost. As I continue to find information I sometimes change a biography and its contents to reflect what I have found.
Find A Grave is a wonderful place to help us with our genealogies. The dedicated members who take time to record hundreds of burials that are in a cemetery, take photographs of their graves and post that information so we can find them, is a wonderful help to all of us. They are truly dedicated members. As are the ones who volunteer to answer people's requests for photographs. For generations to come this information will be preserved.

I've been wondering where you have been. I hope you are doing well.
Are you asking how I found the grave? Or pictures? You are correct. I have had those pictures forever. My grandmother had them in her collection. That's what made finding one of their sons so incredible!

I was in the wrong generation I think. But, did you get this from the Cones in Dallas that I gave you?

Yes mam...Susanna Lord was his wife. Remember, she's my John Lord's daughter. Those are the two pictures I have of the little boys...they are their two boys.

I just wanted to let you know to check the spouse for William Lloyd Cone, Sr. You have Luther instead of Susanna.
I hope you are doing well. I have some more "pieces" to the puzzle if you want to contact me.

I believe William Lloyd Cone Jr is also buried at SH. Why don't you ask for his location too? I'll be more than glad to get both of them with a location.

I went over to Sparkman Hillcrest (SH) to the Garden of Devotion and walked Block 24 both Lots 14 and 12 and could not find his marker.
Please call SH and request the location. Their phone number is 214-363-5401. SH will not provide burial locations to volunteers, citing privacy issues. Your cooperation is needed to in order for requests to be filled. Once you have the location, please add it to your request. Thank you for your help.

There is already a picture of her marker on her memorial page.
Please call me when you get a chance. I have sent you a private email to make sure you have my phone number. It's reference Susanna Lord! Important!

Carolyn, the grave may have had a cap or cover at one time. There is a cement outline around the gravesite. Plus a cement/concrete outline around the whole plot. Amanda's is the only grave in the plot according to the City's survey. Brenda

The links for his parents have been added. Really, I should have thought of that, myself, but my scattered thoughts were on something else.
Best to you,
