I'am not related to most of the people in the memorials that I have created, but someone is, and the memorials might (and has) help them find that long-lost loved one. |
Anyone may use my tombstone pictures for their own personal use, no credit wanted.
I do not add memorials to Findagrave, to see how many I can get, I do it so people can be found and remembered. Everyone deserves that!!
I DO MY BEST TO MAKE SURE THE INFORMATION I ADD IS CORRECT, BUT IF I HAVE MADE A MISTAKE, (AND EVERYONE DOES), I WILL BE GLAD TO CORRECT IT, BUT PLEASE ASK POLITELY, (I will not answer rude or mean comments), and please use the edit button, that is just above the pictures on each memorial, for leaving information, such as adding links, bios, corrections, and requesting transfers, and include your Findagrave member number. Makes it so much easier to make those edits and transfers.
(I do not make transfers or edits from messages left below.)

|J LaMay||Mary G Stohr|
The photo posted for Mary G Stohr at Phillips Cemetery in Monroe county, Missouri is lovely. I am trying to confirm her date of death. The findagrave site shows 1903, rootsWeb site shows abt 1873 and the Monroe Genealogical Society's cemetery compilation shows 18?3. It looks like the date of death is noted on the gravestone, but the mulch on the ground just covers it. If you are by the cemetery again, would you mind brushing away enough of the mulch to verify the death date? It would help us solve this mystery and I'd be ever so grateful.
Thank you kindly,

|Randle Dennison||RE: MAHALA ELIZABETH MADDOX|
No I didn't Patty. I spent a day and a half at the courthouse and the rest of the second day at the library which had a nice collection of genealogical
info. Would you be willing to send me an E-mail as I would like to share some info with you and viceversa. I am part of a Denison/Dennison DNA
project. I have traced the Denison line back to Ireland and know we came from Scotland as we are
Scots-Irish. Our original American ancestor was
Daniel Denniston from Augusta Co.,VA. His son also
Daniel had 12 children. The name changed from
Denniston to Denison on records sometimes with
Denniston on one side and Denison on the other. At the turn of the century when people became more educated teachers said if you really want to be a
Dennison put an extra "N" so it isn't D"E"nison so my great-grandfather did but all his relatives in Ohio are still one "N" Denisons. After proving the lineage I found an Alan Denison related to Daniel via a son William. William and my Thomas were brothers. My DNA was a perfect match with Alan. Another gentleman has just submitted his DNA from the John Denison line
(another brother to William and Thomas. You are
from the James Denison line which is another brother. The reason I happen to find you was I was going over my James Denison research to see if I could find a male James Denison relative that might want to get tested. So far all of my research has been correct and if fact my research with a Denison relative from Ohio is what started the DNA project in the first place. If you are intersted in working with me on this let me know. Randle
|Steven Shannon||Virgil Roy Shannon|
I am Virgil Roy Shannon's,( Feb 6th birthday and born in Missouri)grandson. I was playing around tonight and saw the information you posted. Virgil had one more child beside Janis Isobel. Her name was Helen Gayle Shannon. I don't have all of her information at this time but would be glad to get it to you. Even though I was his grandson Virgil and Rose adopted me as my mother Janis passed on when I was about 2. I noticed your name is Shannon also. Maybe we are related.
|grandmacarol||RE: Wm Henry and Phoebe Dunn at Red Top Cemetery|
So happy to have helped you find William and Phoebe. Yes, feel free to use the photos of their stones and thanks for asking.
If you look at the cemetery page for Red Top, you will see two photos that I added there. They indicated that some of the stones were moved there at two different times in the past (I assume they were moved from a small "farm plot", but I have no real knowledge of that.) There is nothing in the cemetery that delineates a section to show which stones were actually moved, though. It's possible that these were not actually there when you visited the cemetery. I don't recall which stones were near those two notices.
|Margaret Lunsford||Whitfield Reynolds|
Can you PLEASE REMOVE this name from my Richard Reynolds Memorial!!!!! WHY did you put it on there?????? This is NOT Richard's son. PLEASE LEAVE MY MEMORIALS TO ME!!!!!!
|Michael Blanchette||John Luttrell|
Sure cousin, you may use any photo I've posted. You say John is your great-granduncle. He's my great-grandfather. Please email me at email@example.com. I'm interested to know how we are related.
|Jim DeLaney||Michael Trumbo|
I have some information about Michael and his parents. I will send it to you but I will need an email address. Send it to firstname.lastname@example.org.
|Jim DeLaney||RE: barker, etc. links|
Most of this information is from New FamilySearch operated by The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Some were posted there by others and some by me. A lot of what I posted came from Missouri Digital Heritage's death certificate listings. I have noticed a lot of connections between Barkers and Dawsons. The first one of these I did was Minnie Kate Barker Brown who was my great-grandmother and did not die until I was 15. Thanks go to you and several others for completing the links I have identified.
|Kennith & Michelle "Clark" Wetzel||RE: Claus Schroder|
Patty, With your help and the photo of the Powell stone, I was able to locate Claus Schroder's marker.
On the new map for Oakland it is located at 9-L.
Thank you again for your help!
