James and Elizabeth Billingsly Hopkins are buried in the Hopkins cemetery in Fair Play, Missouri.

They are my great grandparents several times removed so I thought you might like to add this information to your findagrave information.

Thank you.

RE: Tabitha Dodson Patterson
Thanks. I found a census record for 1870 that listed her as "living with family" but I couldn't find a connection between her and the family she was living with. I'm not in my tree at the present time but I remember the last name was Bailey.

Where do you get the 1876 death date? All the information I have agree with the 1854 death date although I can't find her in the 1850 census.

Essie Toler
I just discovered your posting on Essie Toler. I thought that I should let you know that the dates on the gravestone match the information for Essie's sister Jessie Toler. Jessie died when she was very young. Essie died much later in Kansas. Her married name was Gilliland. Their parent's were Henry Winfield Toler and Philomena Brenner.

I see that the gravestone is very difficult to read at this point and understand the confusion. I have family knowledge about Essie and Jessie because they are my great aunts.

I do appreciate what you do very much. I learned the name of the cemetery where Jessie is buried from your posting. If you ever come across a grave for a Martha Toler wife of John Toler I would love to have the information. She died in Polk County in the 1840s. Thank you so much. Linda Toler Clater

Hi Larry. I noticed that you originally posted the page for Henry Jarrett Lightfoot. I am not sure if h is an ancestor of your or you just kindly researched him &added the page. I know that his parents are as you listed them. Have you researched his grandparents? I think they are John Lightfoot Sr. & Ann E Claiborne but I have not found proof. There were a number of John Lightfoots in VA around that time.

Thanks for all you do!

William Oscar Hopkins
Hello Larry!

My name is Scott Lee, 2G Nephew of William Oscar. I was building a page for him, I think maybe he is one of your Grandfathers.

Anyway, you do such great work on your bios and I referenced yours on WikiTree. I have built a page for him and wanted to ask permission to use the image you took of his grave marker.

My email is I don't post other's images until I get approval, because I know how much work you have went to to post on Find-A-Grave. And, what a great job you do!

My grandma 'Muzzy', Maude Hopkins, is my connection. I sure wish I lived in Missouri because most of my family on both sides lived there at one time or another and I know there is a lot of history in St. Clair County.

My best regards to you!

Sellers Family
Hi Larry,

I am doing research on the Elliott Family and since you prepared the bio for James David Sellers and it lists a sister as Billy Boyd, I am hoping you can help me. I was in touch with Ada Elliott Sellers and family when they lived in Missouri, but lost track when they moved to Oklahoma.

If you are interest in contacting me, my home e-mail is If you have no connection with them, I'm sorry I bothered you.

Looking forward to hearing from you.
