Bio and Links
Bio Photo Retired military. Genealogy is a passion but I slow down when football season arrives. Willing to help others as much as possible. I focus on my Stewart roots (West Virginia and Pennsylvania) and the Marshall family on my mother's side (Virginia).

I have photo documented local cemeteries in my area of James City County, Charles City County, Williamsburg and York County, VA. I am currently working on cemeteries in Surry, Sussex, Isle of Wight and Southampton Counties, VA.

I have also photo documented several cemeteries in the Hilton Head Island, SC, Kitty Hawk (Dare County), NC and Leavenworth, KS areas while on vacation.

If I have added a memorial for one of your family members just let me know your Find A Grave member number and I will transfer it to you.

Hello again Ron,
You are the best...
Thank you so much for consistently following through on my attempts to "reunite" my family.
With the help of the most recent transfers of:

Goldie Emaline Beamer Rakes # 65877535
and
James Franklin Smith # 60803221

to my care I have been able to connect them to parents, siblings, spouses and children.
With appreciation,

Surry Va
Hi Ron,
I have for a while now tried to link the families of Surry together with their relatives because they possess historical significance and date back to colonial and civil war times, Descendants born to slave and owner relationships. The first child born in the new country Virginia Dare born August 18, 1587 and William Tucker, the first Black child born in 1606. There are more of their descendant in the Davis cemetery in Surry County. I could use a little help if you are up to the challenge,
God bless and Take Care.

Calmer S Breiby headstone
my mother, aunt & uncle and I have searched for years to find their uncle's grave! how wonderful u have found it and put it on this website. unfortunately they have all passed away, but I cannot express enough my gratitude for what u are doing. My question is whether you were able or would be able to locate my Great grandfather's(Karl Gunnerius Breiby) grave. Our records indicate he died in March of 1906 in the same area that Calmer did. My email is : ramarama_dingdong@yahoo.com
Thank you

Thank you for the picture of my mother.s grave site. I would like to add more information to her memorial. Also, I am trying to find the grave sites of my grandparents, Carr and Sledge. Any information you can direct to us would be appreciated. I am working on our genealogy for ancestors in Virginia, North Carolina and South Carolina as well. We are in Colorado and depend upon the internet for help. Thank you again, Fred

RE: Millicent A Carmichael
That goes to show you, some people put incorrect info on find a grave... if the person had as much info on Millie Carmichael they would have known her mother' maiden name. I'm not sure the stone' shown on find a grave or correct parents for Millie Carmichael. People do put incorrect info on find a grave.

Millie nor her husband Barzilla were not listed on find a grave in this cemetery when I listed them. There is some way a person can change the date on when a memorial was posted to find a grave. A few members have run into this before and contacted Find A Grave, who delete the person' memorial who changed her date on the memorial. I ran a paper copy of the Kendall Springs cemetery when I listed Milly and Barzilla...

Barzilla did not died in Menifee Co, KY. He and his family had moved to Bath Co, between 1880, and the time of his death... he is listed in the Bath Co, History as living near Olympia, Bath Co, KY.

My daughter descents from Barzilla and Millie.

Thank you and God Bless
