I've pursued genealogy as a hobby since I was in my teens. I don't post things that I don't intend to share, so feel free to download and repost any pictures you find on my pages. I will gladly transfer management of sites if you are a family member. If you find errors or have additional information, I welcome corrections and will update as quickly as I am able.|

Do you know anything about William & Martha Pettypool Nichols of South Carolina? They were my 3rd great grandparents. They had a son named William Lee Nichols who died in TN. There were two other sons that came from TN to AL. They were Isaac and Joshua Nichols. Joshua was my great, great grandfather. He was a soldier in the War of 1812.

That's okay... it was worth a try. I'm just hoping to find someone in the area who might be able to help. Thank you for getting back to me, I appreciate your time! :)

Hello- I saw that you uploaded photos for this cemetery and I am hoping you might be able to help. I am trying to find a phone number or email address for the caretaker of the cemetery. I am trying to locate an ancestor who died in Wayne County. I think he might have an unmarked grave so I wanted to check the records.
Thank you for your time. I appreciate it!

Thank you for the transfers. I live in Alabama so it is difficult for me to get up there. When you run into walls, let me know and I will see if I can break it. :)

Thanks so much for the transfers Kevin!

Thanks, Kevin... I am not a close relative, just distantly related through marriage. But I have been working to find and connect all the family. I would gladly accept the transfers, but it's not necessary if you don't mind all the edits. : )

Kevin, yes, I would very much appreciate your transferring the Elams to me. Thank you so much.
|Shirley Stewart Milford||Wesley and Virginia Elam|
Hi Kevin, I just sent edits on Wesley Elam and Virginia Burns Elam and wanted to explain them...However you may know much more about this family than I have found, so don't hesitate to correct me if I'm wrong...
I have been researching the Elam family and I believe the Wesley and Virginia stones are the parents of William Carroll, rather than his children. The replacement grave stones are very similar so I thought they might be parents. But mainly I can not find any census or anything that indicates William Carroll had a child named Wesley or Virginia. BUT, if you have, please let me know! : ) Also, I found Wesley's death certificate and W. C. had signed it. I believe William Carroll's children were Kenneth 1896, Lizzie 1898, Inez 1901, Odis 1906, Carl 1907, Troy 1911 and Mary 1918... BUT, the 1900 census does show Virginia had had four children by 1900 with only 2 living, Kenneth and Lizzie - so maybe those two that did not survive were Wesley and Virginia - although Wesley's death date is not until after 1900. I'm trying to link the family and want it to be correct so please don't hesitate to let me know if I'm 'way off base'!! I've been completely wrong before so I'm used to it! HA
