*** USE MY PICTURES: ***
Do you want to copy one of my pictures for not-for-profit personal use / family tree / etc..... You have permission to do so AS LONG AS you give credit back to me. You can do something like:
[photo taken by coan.net] -- or --
[photo taken by VermilionCounty.info]
PLEASE NOTE: It is against Find A Grave rules (and Copyright LAW) to copy pictures which are not taken by you. Just because something is on the Internet DOES NOT mean it is free, or without copyright. EVERY picture I have ever taken is, and will always be copyrighted to me (even if it does not have a © mark on the photo). Just because I post a picture DOES NOT mean I'm giving my legal rights to my photo's.
CORRECTIONS / ADDITION / TRANSFERS
PLEASE go to that memorial and hit "EDIT" in the upper right and enter the information there.
For corrections or additions - Please give source - and if possible, write it how you would like it in the memorial (so I can quickly copy-n-paste)
For transfers - Again, go through edit link - and let me know how you are related (ex. "This is my great grandfathers brother") should work.
**** MORE ABOUT ME *****
I live in the East Central Illinois area (around Danville, IL). A project I started a few years back was to get pictures of EVERY headstone in EVERY cemetery in Vermilion County Illinois. I've done that, and have got pictures of EVERY headstone in most of the cemeteries in Edgar, Champaign, and Iroquois counties in Illinois - along with Vermillion and Warren counties in Indiana. Many posted on my personal website:

|Chris Walker||Shankland Hill Cemetery|
I noticed you took some pictures at Shankland Hill Cemetery in Warren County, Indiana. I'd like to get a picture of the stone for Emory Lawson Shankland. It looks like the cemetery sits back off the road aways. Is it on private property? Did you have to get permission to visit the cemetery? Is there any kind of lane back to the cemetery from the main road? Thanks!
|Mary Christiansen||Brierly Cemetery gravemarker|
I am looking for the gravemarker for Margaret B. Howard. She is the daughter of Joseph F. and Sarah Jane (Martin) Howard. According to the 1850 U.S. Census of Vermilion County, Ill., she was born about 1844 and died shortly before the 1860 U.S. Census. Relatives say she was about 16 years of age when she died.
You have photographed the Brierly Cemetery gravemarkers. Could she be buried there near her mother who died in 1846? Any help you could give me would be appreciated.
|Betsy Conerly||Elizabeth Griffith tombstone|
Thank you for crediting me with the photo and getting it on the Find A Grave site before I did. If I had known it was my 3rd great grandmother's stone I would have dug it out to get a better picture but I did not realizes it until I compared it to the DAR list after I got home and Wallah, the age and dates matched so it had to be her. A truly lucky find and coincidence that I got such a good photo since most of the stones were illegible. I am sorry to hear it is no longer even visible. Are you a Clark relative, perhaps?
Hi Coan, Thank you for the transfers of my GGrandfather's brother Ingram Dawes and his wife. I know that you didn't have to do it. I Just found out this morning you also Have their sister Martha H. Dawes Loving and her Husband William Loving. Once again I'm going to ask for their transfers but I do understand if you don't want to. I'm very Grateful for the 2 you sent me.

Thank you for graciously sharing the headstone photos and for clearly stating how you would like credit for them. You obviously understand the importance of genealogical sharing. A role model to us all.
