Bio and Links
Bio Photo I just love genealogy. I got hooked several years ago. I just love walking cemeteries. Many old stones are gorgeous. I just love a good mystery to solve. Many time answers are just awaiting me. I just have to keep my eyes open.

I add other stones that I see in my treks in hope of helping others. If I have added one of your family, I'd be happy to transfer "management" of the memorial to you. Just let me know. Please use the edit tab on the memorial to do so. That way, I can make sure that I am transferring the correct monument. If you notice any errors, please let me know via the edit tab and I will make the corrections. Thanks. Please be patient with me about the edits that are sent automatically. I do try to keep up with them. Sometimes I do forget to check.

I lived in Green Township, a Cincinnati suburb for many years. I walked many of the cemeteries in Hamilton County, Ohio and Campbell & Kenton Counties in Kentucky. I currently live in Whitefish, Montana.
I walk cemeteries in Flathead County now.
Carol

Hermann Gott #142948456
I have determined that this boy was the son of Herman and Mary. I looked them up in the Cinti directory for 1898 and Herman Sr. is listed at 7th St. with occupation of bookkeeper.

RE: Hermann Gott #142948456
No they didn't but I have a hunch that they are "my" Herman Gott (1850-1933) and Mary Wessel Gott (1851-1922). The reconstructed death cert.( UC database ) listed the address as 7th St. and "my" Gotts lived on 7th St. Also, this Herman Gott, Jr. died April 1898 and the Herman Gott Jr. whose funeral card my Mom had was born later that same year - Aug 18, 1898. Such a tragedy! I may try to find something in one of the newspapers about this. It will give the parents names.

I just found a notation on a reconstructed death cert for him found here: https://drc.libraries.uc.edu/bitstream/handle/2374.UC/304877/18980402d_5.JPG?sequence=1
He was only 4 yrs. old and died at the intersection of Coppin and Whetstone St. of a crushed skull after being run over by a dray.
So Sad! I'm trying to fit all these Gotts together!

RE: WilliamBlum
I looked but did not see a stone for her. did the Rering family marry into the Blums? There are 3 Rerings in the same lot. I will add them.

RE: Bernard Trame
I wish I had the source at my disposal now. I came across it in some notes I was keeping because I am working on one of your ancestor's business partners. Take a look at my memorial for Bernard Holters (1823-1878). I'll try to locate where I obtained the birthplace and send it your way.

Thanks!
Thanks for all your research and for creating grave sites for my husband's great aunts, Catherine Simon Bill and Bernadine Simon Deavy, and their husbands and family.

Schack/Schalk/Chalk Family
Yes, Will and I have met and have shared family pictures. His great grandfather and my great grandmother are brother and sister. So we are same generation cousins and have both been working on the Chalk Family.

I believe I may have access to Violetta's obituary notice, I just have to make the request for microfilm through the local public library. If I find it, I'll let you know.

Thanks Again, Michael M.

RE: Floyd Ritchie
That is great!!!...I am now working on the genealogy of my mother (Joyce Ritchie), so if you have Ritchie memorials, you will be seeing me around. Actually, my mother only had three siblings, two I already have memorials for and one I can't find anywhere...(I think he may have been cremated). So other than my mother's parents (Floyd E and Nancy), There really isn't many I need to be researching..... Thanks once again!!!
