My great passion is doing genealogy which I've done since the late 1980's and I love it. I found the "Findagrave" web site one day and was excited to know there was a place where people could enter information on thier families. What's even greater about it is the people that enter pictures and information about people they don't even know. It's a wonderful place. I'm a wife, mother and grandmother, hobbies are genealogy, photography and oil painting. There isn't enough time in the day to do all the things I enjoy doing. The photo above is my great-great grandfather's marker that is a 98 year old rock, it's in a church cemetery in KY. I was amazed that you could still read his name, H F Lad.|

Anyone covering Bobbie's messages? Need to have management of my grandparent's graves transferred to me.

I wonder if I might have permission to use your photo of the Elmwood Cemetery for my family website. Please see http://beach-mcininch.com/beach/beach-cemeteries.html to see how I plan to use the photo. I will give you credit for the photo.
|roger shell||Michael Schell(1693-1769)|
Is there a reason you have a memorial for this man at the Old Goshenhoppen cemetery when there is a cenotaph for him and his youngest son John(1729-1777) at the New Goshenhoppen cemetery? The dates on the cenotaph are incorrect for Michael owing to confusion with a Michael Scholl,Sr. b~1675, and that Michael Schell's will was probated in 1770, but he died in Oct 1769. Also, you memorial says Michael remarried in 1815 well after he had died.
My research leads me to conclude that Michael was buried in the New Goshenhoppen cemetery near East Greenville, PA. I have records that show he lived in the area along with his sons Michael, Jr. and John. Michael, Jr. and John were prominent members at New Goshenhoppen. Michael, Sr. is mentioned only once in early NG records as witness to a baptism in 1731.
Please let me know if I have this wrong, or can give you more information.
