Bio Photo Your tombstone stands among the rest;
Neglected and alone.
The name and date are chiseled out
On polished, marbled stone.
It reaches out to all who care
It is too late to mourn.
You did not know that I exist
You died and I was born.
Yet each of us are cells of you
In flesh, in blood, in bone.
Our blood contracts and beats a pulse
Entirely not our own.
Dear Ancestor, the place you filled
One hundred years ago
Spreads out among the ones you left
Who would have loved you so.
I wonder if you lived and loved,
I wonder if you knew
That someday I would find this spot,
And come to visit you.

We have been researching for a couple decades. Families: Buckmaster, Patterson, Wollam, all variations of Teatsorth, Falk/Faulk, Johnson, Lee, Collier, Eschbarger, Orr, Brinton, Thomas, Grau, Hyde, Case, all variations of Brandeberry, Richcrick (Reichenbach), Slote, Balken, Ulmstead, Flower, Dick, Graham, Hyatt, and many more.

Also a focus on those who have fought for and kept us free ~ our American veterans. We have a virtual cemetery for these units: 31st and 49th Ohio Infantry who fought during the Civil War.

While I appreciate the gesture of transferring the memorial to me, that was not my intention when I contacted you about the memorial.

While I am descended from the Barrackmans, I live far away from the persons in question, and am unable to visit the cemeteries in person. I just thought that since you originally added the memorial to FindAGrave, you probably would live in that general area, and maybe had a picture of the gravestone or some proof that Barbara was actually buried in the cemetery in question.

I really do need to find out if the Barbara Barrackman that might be buried in Marion County is the same one that's buried in Monongalia County. If they are indeed one and the same, that would mean there would be a duplicate listing, and I would have to delete the memorial that you sent me.

Find A Grave Change
A friend told me about this change a couple days after this was deployed. I have sent edit/s to you so I thought maybe you didn't know about it. You might want to pass it on to your friends. thanks!!! ~Peggy

New "Automated" system for "Suggest a Correction/Submit an Edit"

******Please Note******
New System for Memorial Edits deployed by FindAGrave on 12/5/2013

Go to your Contributor/Profile page.
Look in the upper right corner. You should now see a tab called "Edits" - check there to see if any have been submitted to you.
Then just review and accept.

Way easier for doing updates to names / dates / places / plot #s.

You still will get e-mails to add info to bio section or do linking.

Buck and Julie,

Thank you for the quick response. I apologize for the inconvenience. I know better but got caught up in the excitement of finding both of his memorials. He had 11 children, I know the names of 7, and they are not the ones listed in this cemetery. You can edit his name and place of birth, the information I sent is accurate from page 142, Heinrich Gernhardt and His Descendants, by JMM Gernerd.--Storres

I am just curious to know who you are and where you are located. The reason, is that it seems we are overlaping new memorials.

There is a person that goes by 6 degrees that is doing the same thing. However, 6 DEGREES wont answer any of my e-mails.

I don't know you got interested in this, but i only create memorials for people that i knew or were friends or relatives of mine.

Not trying to upset the apple cart, just need to work out something so we don't get duplicate memorials. Not trying to get anyone upset!!
