1. I owe a big thanks to my son Chris for putting up with me and helping me with taking photos and transcribing cemeteries. He helps me in any way he can and i could not do it without him. I also need to say thanks to my boyfriend Steve for putting up with my findagrave addiction and for allowing himself to be roped into grave duty.

I have been working on my genealogy for several years and found myself hitting brickwall and losing interest. I thought that by transcribing as many cemeteries as i could would help others with their genealogy. I am working on Cemeteries in Ripley County Indiana at the present time. Please if u see that i have posted a memorial or picture for a loved one and u have info that u would like added. Let me know and if i make any errors please let me know ASAP. I have been trying to include information as i find it.
Thanks KIM

Mary Hammerle #33506203
Mary Hammerle #33506203 was the daughter of William [Wilhelm] Hammerle #148593780 by his first wife Elizabeth (Kanfhold) Hammerle -- I do not know for sure where Elizabeth is buried. Mary Hammerle was a half-sister of Eva (Hammerle) Becker #148509394

Susanna Hammerle 1872 - 1904
Check dates 1872 - 1888 on tombstone picture as it currently appears on Susanna Hammerle 1872 -1904 Find-A-Grave#33556041 St. Louis Cemetery, Batesville, Indiana. There is another Susanna Hammerle buried in same cemetery with dates 1872 - 1888.

Priscilla Laswell Reynolds
Your the first researcher every that has said they couldn't search by memorial number.

Memorial# 29764616
"Daughter of Thomas and Mary Elizabeth Crawford Laswell"

Can we take the above statement off of Priscilla. Her mother was Sarah Jane Dean. Crawford was her fathers first wife however not her mother.

Lydia Schwier Dowdle Thrasher
I have been trying to locate the grave of my 2nd great grandmother for a long time. Her maiden name was Schwier. She was born in c. 1830 in Ohio. She was married first to William Dowdle, and he is buried in Batesville. Later in life she married Charles Thrasher, a Civil War veteran, and he too is buried in Ripley County. I can't find her, and I estimate that she died c. 1910. If you have seen evidence of this grave, will you please e-mail me at Thanks so much.

There are two John Henry Rahes at Holy Family. They are my 3rd and 4th GGrandfathers. The elder John was born about 1779 and died 1849. The younger born 3/7/1800 and died 1840. Margretha Tiamaer would have been married to the younger. Also, I believe Tiamaer may have been the last name of a second husband. I haven't researched the story yet, but interestingly Margaretha, a George Tiamaer, and Barnard (9 year old son of Margaretha and John Henry) all died the same day 8-5-1849. The elder John Henry died 8-7-1849 (two days later) and is sharing a headstone with George. Must be a story there. At any rate if you could make the corrections concerning Margretha's spouse it will help clear up some confusion for fellow researchers. Thanks!
