This site helps preserve our family histories and information that can fade with time from our cemeteries. I'm glad to be able to contribute and want to thank all of you who have contributed to this wonderful resource.|
My husband deserves many thanks for driving me to cemeteries or stopping at ones we see along the road as we travel. He helps me watch where I step and for things that crawl. He has walked many of these cemeteries with me or patiently sat waiting for me.
My Great-Uncle Will walked the cemetery in Cherokee, Texas with me when I was in grade school and told me about some of the people buried there. I wish I had been old enough to realize how important that information was. He was from the time when the men in the community dug the grave for someone for free and it showed love, honor, and respect.
At that same time in my life my Grandmother told me not to step on the graves as a way to show respect. She was also an example of love and respect in her actions as I watched her clear the weeds from my Grandfather's grave by chopping them with a hoe.

Betty, I sent requests a couple of weeks ago for linking Felix Thomas York to his parents, his second wife, and to his daughter, but now that new edit features have kicked in, I was able to do the links myself. They just need to be approved, so that will save you the time and effort of doing them. Thanks for adding my uncle and some of his family!

I have linked Edith to her parents. I did not have her mother's name, so I appreciate the info. Any idea what her mother's maiden name was?? I will do some looking, and if I find it will let Rick know (the creator).

Would it be alright to use this photograph in a short internet article about Lela and Raymond Howard? I'll credit, you of course.

I update the family members. If you are family, I will transfer the memorial and any others that I created in the Lower melrose cemetery.

Thanks I always give credit by saying "Headstone added by"; but on yours I will say given permission to use. Debbie

I messaged you last year about the use of your photos, specifically, those in the Dudley cemetery. I reviewed my emails and did not see a response. Is it okay if I use your photos with your permission in my family tree on Ancestry.com
I will use the following or whatever acknowledgement you would like me to use:
