|Bio and Links|
|The memorial pages I create are most often for my own kinsmen by blood, marriage, or adoption. Occasionally I include an unrelated member of their households, a friend, neighbor or business associate. I am happy to make transfers to direct descendants or to people who are more closely related than I.|
If you find errors on any of these pages, please tell me. I welcome and encourage the addition of biographies, obituaries, photos, and family links.
Please note that I do not tolerate plagiarizing these memorial pages or any photographs associated with them. Gravestone photos often were taken by volunteers. Any use of them should be by permission of the posters. Other personal photographs of people, places, or things are precious family possessions, often heavily edited for posting herein. Any use of them is to be by permission of the poster. Neither photographs nor memorial pages may be "tagged" and lifted for use on other websites without specific written permission of the author of the website and the person who posted the photographs.
The memorial pages I create and/or manage are intended to honor and be a perpetual memorial to my family members, friends, and associates. Each has taken hours of research and careful thought. I do not upload en masse memorials.
I have added the above information because recently I discovered that a large number of my memorial pages, including photographs, have been lifted and installed on a website called "Geni" [www.Geni.com]

Thank you for the reply. I go to Kingston, TN often and on next vs will try to go through the Childress family file at the Old Courthouse. I have been through the McCowan and Eblen family files, but not the Childress.
|Elizabeth Loveday||Martha "Mattie" McCown Childress|
I am the great great granddaughter of James McCowan of Roane Co., TN. My great grandparents are Samuel Eblen, SR and Sarah McCown, and my great grandparents are Samuel Eblen Jr. and Elizabeth Rayburn. I live close to the Eblen Cemetery and have always thought James McCowan was buried there. Samuel Sr and Jr are both buried there, as are their wives, and several children. The cemetery is fairly large for a family cemetery and has many marked and unmarked graves. I have been unable to document James McCowan as my ancestor, but have his statement as to serving in the Revolutionary War (signed by Samuel L. Childress) and the deed made by James McCowan to Samuel Eblen. Do you have any documentation (Bible, etc) which would tie your ancestor Martha and my ancestor Sarah to each other and to James McCown/McCowan? Thank you so much for the Memorial to Martha "Mattie" McCown Childress.
|Leigh Ann Ezell-Talley||Busby Family|
I am researching my husbands family on his mother's side - the Busby's. His grandfather was James Hogg Busby-son of Benjamin Franklin Busby - son of Nathan Busby and Margaret Brazier. There are 2 Nathan Busby's on Find a grave but they don't seem to be connected to Benjamin Franklin Busby. Do you have any information in regards to this? All is appreciated. Leigh Ann Ezell-Talley

How is your sister, Gayle, related to my aunt, Pauline Dalton Williams. I have Hoover people in my tree, but can't seem to locate her. Who did she marry. Thanks.
|Joyce Snell||Pauline Dalton Williams|
Not certain if we've had contact before, so wondering if you are related to my aunt, Pauline Dalton Williams. Thanks.
