I find copying headstones interesting, I like finding interesting people with interesting story's. Most my family buried in the greater Philadelphia area but I live in the Harrisburg area so I'll copy headstones here. Worked inside most my life and wanted to be outside after I retired so copied headstones and published them in the Quarterly once issued by the Capital Area Genealogical Society.|
Please use 'edit' tab on memorial page for corrections and or additional information.
I now strictly adhere to the Find A Grave guidelines regarding transfers. No exceptions. Requests made that fall outside of the guidelines, or do not state relationship, are no longer being acknowledged. Virtual cemeteries are the way to "gather" your ancestors together.
Please don't justify an out-of-guideline transfer request for the sake of adding links and/or other information. Am perfectly capable of doing this, especially now with the new EDIT system - much quicker than transferring. If you decide to not forward information or links because a transfer isn't done, then that's your decision.

I came across Eliza McKown Jones as I was searching for my ancestors related to William McKown. I had information about her being married to Mahlon K Jones. Everything in the obituary seems to fit with the information I have. I was excited to find the information you posted about her parents, since I had been looking for her father William's wife's name, which you have listed as Hannah Lort. The only trouble is that my line comes through William Burns McKown, (and his son William Edwin Early McKown) and the William that was listed on Eliza's page is William L McKown, which seems to be a different person. I'm wondering if you have any further information about the McKown (McCowen)family. I know my family's line has been searching for a long time to find out more information, and I'm excited to learn what you may know about them.

Hello there, and good weekend to you. You'd written regarding Daniel Romberger saying "Check your bio, you say his father was Adam then next say no---it's Daniel?"
No, what is written is that Daniel's father was Adam, and Adam's father was (another) Daniel (with dates given). I had had to do this because the person who had Adam's memorial initially had not made the correct links on his parents. I noted the error there in case it was never fixed. Now it looks like they have fixed it, so soon I will re-adjust my wording.
Even though your initial reason for writing wasn't quite right, I am glad that you wrote because it allowed me to see that now Daniel's father Adam is correctly linked to his own father, Daniel... and my "correction wording" can be removed. I appreciate your concern.

Robert, correction to my question sent earlier. The memorial created was in the Methodist Episcopal Cemetery not Fairview. Arthur's family is buried in Fairview.
Sorry for the minor confusion

Robert, I have a question I hope you can help me answer. You made a memorial for Arthur M. Patterson Fairview Cemetery,Dauphin County. I have been searching for a Arthur H. with no success.
However, did locate his siblings who are all buried in Fairview. Would it be possible for you to check your notes to confirm the Arthur M. listed could be Arthur H.?
Appreciate your help, looking forward to a response

|sr/ks||RE: many thanks|
Thanks very much, I just put them through. If they were there earlier, I had not checked my edits a few days and did not see them, but we're all set now.

... for the additional info on David Romberger which I have added to his memorial regarding place of rest and cause. Would you be able to confirm a date? I made a deductive guess but I could be wrong and would appreciate your input. Thanks.

Thank you for the information on Davis...I don't add all that to clutter them up. If you ever find his parents...I will gladly add them. I left out the fact he was a black soldier...that does not matter to me...he was an American soldier who died in service...long live the memory of Hayward Davis.

Do you know if it would be possible to contact the office of the cemetery regarding the above person. Need to know if this is my husbands grandmother. Thank you for your assistance.

I have submitted a request to have Amanda's memorial at St. John's Cemetery noted as CENOTAPH ONLY. I did not want to delete it as someone else would just add it again, making more confusion.
Have a great day!!
