..."you can't please everyone, so you gotta please yourself *(Rick Nelson - Garden Party).

We will only transfer memorials to direct family members. We are willing, however, to do corrections to the memorial or link to other family memorials.

The fall of 2008 we were asked to share our pictures with the Arkansas Grave Stone Project in Garland, Hot Spring, Dallas, Logan, Hempstead Counties. Arkansas. Thank you so much for recognizing our work.

We have also posted pictures on The Melting Pot Genealogical Society, Hot Springs, Ark. and Louisiana Gravestone Project.

Find A Grave FAQ

How do I correct an error in memorial data?
You can submit updates or corrections of factual information for any memorial by clicking on the 'Edit' tab on the memorial in question. Be sure you are logged in.
From here you can select one of the following options:

Birth/death date, birth/death place
Relationship (parent and spouse links)
Name
Plot and/or GPS
Marker Transcription
Suggest any other correction or addition

The first five options allow you to make the factual update to the memorial. Once this is submitted, the manager of the memorial will receive this information as an editing request and will either approve it or decline it.

The final option allows anything not handled by one of the first five options to be sent as an email message. Follow the instructions to submit your correction. An email will be sent to the contributor who manages the memorial page (even if that person does not have an email showing on their contributor page). Please limit the use of this option to no more than 20 email requests per contributor per week. Most of our contributors are unable to make updates on the same day a request is sent in.

Note: The first five options are unlimited in the number sent in a week and if not approved by the manager within 20 days Find A Grave will approve them on the 21th day.

From you, just today = Edits (37)

Shown on your bio page:

"Please limit the number of "Suggest a correction" requests you send to an individual contributor to no more than 20 per week."

All these edits you have sent today, are 'corrections' on pages I created (over the past 11+ years) prior to Find A Grave changing/adding entry fields. As I have created/entered thousands of pages, it is redundant hours required to change these entries; please request admins to do this, as I have more worthwhile things to voluntarily contribute my time to, such as photograph/add marker pictures to pages.

Oops I did it again
I have been down with the flu and it has addled my brain. I meant to correct the word "Merry".

Rapides Cemetery
The Historic Rapides Cemetery Preservation Society is working on plotting the graves and repairing some monuments/markers. They are looking for family members to share any stories that they might have, to identify unmarked burials, and to maintain their family's plot. Fundraisers are being planned to raise money for the project. The Society has consulted with gravestone preservationists and is using D/2 biological solution (no wire brushes) to clean the gravestones.
