PLEASE make ALL corrections and transfer requests via the edit tab on the memorial.|
Corrections and transfers left in messages most likely will never get processed.
We are photo volunteers. When we take a photo of a final resting place we do so out of a sense of caring and gratitude to those who have gone before us. When we create a memorial for an individual it is to pay homage to the life of that person. There is no disrespect intended.
We have a difficult time getting to those cemeteries where our loved ones are buried. We find great comfort in at least being able to visit those we love and cherish even if it is virtual on the internet. We hope to be able to provide the same to others.
If any of our memorials offend or simply cause you discomfort or disquiet (everyone grieves and believes differently), please contact us.
~~~~ ~~~~ ~~~~ ~~~~ ~~~~~
We have a fairly liberal transfer policy. We just ask that if you can no longer maintain the memorial that you send it back or transfer to someone who has the time.
We work hard to be as accurate as possible, but we are only human. If you see and error, a duplicate, etc. please send us a friendly note and we will get it taken care of as quickly as possible. Please keep in mind that life can get in the way sometimes and it may take a while to take care of an issue. Feel free to message us again if you think we may have missed it or it was lost.
If you would like originals of any of the photos we have posted here at Find A Grave please email us and let us know. If we have them and can find them we would be happy to share.
Are you related to James? If so, would you be willing to work together documenting info regarding his father, Jacob Henry Severs? Thank you for your efforts on FindAGrave. Karen
Sorry, I meant to say that my father, Robert Leon Webb, Jr., received a Purple Heart, NOT a Purple Cross. Have been down the past few days with edema issues & muggy heat here in Portland, which we don't usually get; am just now getting up to do some work on memorials that are incomplete, though I'm not feeling that great. Genealogy and Find A Grave are my two main pleasures at this point in my life and I can only be on line for a certain length of time due to severe edema. It sucks to be getting older! Take care and thank you for your work on Find A Grave.
Regarding Find A Grave memorial #107810705,
I personally agree with you that John W. Gatlin's middle name is William, however I've received notes that it is Wesley instead. I have told the person who wrote me to send me proof that my great, great grandfather's middle name is Wesley as opposed to William, but haven't heard back, although it's been since February, 2014. I am going to remove the reference of Wesley on his name, although I'll leave the comment about it in his memorial. If you have any proof regarding his middle name, I'd love to see if, Please!! As far as I am concerned, the United Daughters of the Confederacy who awarded my father a "Cross of Military Service" after he was shot down in the South Pacific Ocean and received a Purple Cross in 1945, referred to his great grandfather as John William Gatlin, not John Wesley Gatlin, and I am certain they knew what they were talking about! Take Care and Thank you for backing me up!
Hi. Yes I am related to them. They are my husband's cousins on the Hart side of their family. Which side of the family are you on?
Thank you for the help, the daughter has her own.
|Shirley C||James Ross|
Your request for James Ross in the Plentywood Cemetery in Montana has come to my attention. I only find a James Estle Ross born 1905 and died 1946 when we canvased the indexed the cemetery in 2008. This James is in Addition 1 Row 17 Plot 2. He is next to Elizabeth Faye Ross 1908-1993. I hope this is of some value to you. I do have photo's of these two headstones. I am currently inputting Addition 4 of the Plentywood Cemetery. I will keep James in mind as we continue to index and input this cemetery.
Thanks, I will begin to correct this. I have had medical issues and have not been on Find A Grave for awhile. Again thanks.
I thank you for your time. Dolores lynch
|Dolores Lynch||Annie Holland|
I see that you have a Annie Holland listed in row 11. I was there last year and couldn't find it. Is there anything I should look for that will help me find her. This might be my grandmother's sister.
