Find A Grave's mission is 'graves registration'. |
Please specify your relationship when requesting transfers. I am no longer transfering outside the Findagrave guidelines.
Due to the growing popularity of the website I have been getting multiple transfer requests for the same memorial from several different contributors. Trying to determine who should get the memorial is becoming difficult for me.
Find-A-Grave Policy on Transfers
Transfer requests should be for direct relatives within four generations, this would be your siblings, parents, grandparents, and great-grandparents. Keep in mind that the original contributor may also be related to the memorial and may not want to make the transfer.
I am always happy to make corrections and add links when asked.

Dear Ms. Mayfield, When you created the memorial for Charles C. Abbott, did you also find a grave for his wife, Marcia (Martha)? I see a Margaret listed in Fredonia City Cemetery but no Marcia. I know she was alive in 1911 when her husband died but would like to obtain a definite DOD. Many thanks for whatever you can tell me. Best wishes, Natalie J. Woodall, PhD
Thank you for the transfers! I really appreciate it a lot!!
|Carl Catherman||Rosa Corderman|
Thank you very much for adding her maiden name.

I'm so sorry. I sent you the link for Wilberta's grandparents, not her parents. Her parents are:
Leroy Reed Willis Find A Grave 142803734
Alice Elizabeth Teague Find A Grave 142816669
You were so fast! I'll put in the correct edit information. Again, I am so sorry.

Thanks, Judy, I'm trying to get all the family back "together". :) You've done a lot of work on the Hanlin family out there in Tyler County. The Maggie Hanlin you have out there was my Grandfather's first wife. If you want to transfer her, also, I would take good care of her.
|Wayne Farmer||Myrtle Alice Ledbetter|
Judy, thank you so much for contributing the information for Myrtle Alice Ledbetter, especially the obituary notice. She is my paternal grandmother, and I'd always been told, or guessed, that she died in the Spanish Flu outbreak that was going on that time. My father, George, was the 8 year old boy orphaned by her, and was put up for adoption because the father felt he could not care for the three children.

Thank you for finding the gravestone and adding the photo to the memorial. I greatly appreciate it.

|Ralph and Wendy||Herman Fox 73259799|
I sent you a request for a name change from Herman to what is on his stone HEMAN. That is the name that is on all the Census records with his parents Elmer and Lucy Fox. His Father is sometimes calls Elnore, Elmore, Elmer so is hard to follow. His Mother Lucy is sometimes known as Maggie ansd sometimes Anna. I want to thank you for correcting my mistake I made on that other Fox. Thanks for your help.

Thank for the updates for my Harvey family. You have filled in some empty spaces to my family tree. Mildred
