I am researching the different branches of my family tree. Maternal Rose, Kuhns, Drylie, Muse, & Silvis. Paternal any descendants or ancestors Of Christian & Charlotte King and Isaac/Isaiah and Emma Conover & John and Rebecca Wallace. I have traced some of these lines back to England, Germany, Scotland, Ireland as far back as 1410. I became a grave hunter when a family story led me on a search for the grave of a child who was born in 1884 and died in 1888 between census records, the church where he was baptized burned losing all records, there was not mandatory birth registration so there was no proof he ever existed. I have now been involved in a tombstone project photographing entire cemeteries in my area. My friend Franny and I have photographed 130 cemeteries in Allegheny, Fayette, Washington and Westmoreland Counties in Pennsylvania however getting them all uploaded to Find A Grave has proven to be a very long and slow process so if anyone out there is looking for someone who could be buried in this area please don't be afraid to ask it is possible one of us already has a photo. For anyone out there doing the same thing--- THANK YOU.|
It never ceases to amaze me that people will just create a cemetery with out checking to see if it is already up. If I took a picture in Cemetery A. but there is paperwork saying burial in Cemetery B. I go with Cemetery A. where there is a tombstone the family has paid for. As for government documentation we all know the government never makes mistakes.
MY MEMORIALS ARE MADE FROM INFORMATION ON THE TOMBSTONES I PHOTOGRAPH. I HAVE NO WAY OF KNOWING IF THE TOMBSTONE IS ACCURATE. IF YOU SEND ME A CORRECTION THAT CONFLICTS WITH THE TOMBSTONE INFORMATION PLEASE SEND ME A COPY OF THE SOURCE YOU USED TO SEND THE CORRECTION THANK YOU

|cindy carroll||Re: Samuel Walthour|
I am a descendent of Pearl Silvis walthour, daughter of Murry Anawalt Walthour and Alice Minerva Silvis. Going backward in the generatiions on Walthour, I arrived in Germany whereby their immigration to the USA began. Of Johann George Walthour and Catherine Ann Frick, I came across a Samuel Walthour born in 1816-1880 Westmoreland Co. My grandmother who is Pearl (above) had mentioned many a time over that we were 'related' someway to Frick's, a family synomonous with Pittsburgh. Hence, Samuel Walthour's site in Find-a-Grave has little info. What I know is he was born in North Huntingdon, Westmoreland Co to Johann and Catherine Walthour in 1816. He married Mary Calhoun, also born in 1816 as above) and Samuel dies on 10 September 1880. I have five children listed to Sam and Mary, who are: Sasannah Walthour Schroeder (b 1839-), JOhn Miller Walthour (b 1836-), and his twin Anna Walthour Greenwalt (b 1836-), Henrietta Walthour Shoaf (b. 1856 June-), and William Weaver Walthour (21 February 21 1843-13 April 1926) marrying Mary Jane Greenwalt. My only difficulty with this census is that in others, Samuel is listed as being the son of Christopher C. Walthour instead of Johann George's son). If you would like to make further enquiries, my contact is email firstname.lastname@example.org

|Carolina Grave Hunter||Scanlan Headstone|
Thank you so much for taking the headstone photos and uploading them for me.
I had information with the spelling of their last name as Scanlan, but the cemetery record site has their surname spelled Scanlon so I wasn't sure what it should be.
I am going with the headstone spelling for now.
Have a great week,
|Rita Williams Pena||RE: Williams|
Thank you so much, Kathi. That information confirmed the death dates of the two brothers.

I would be happy to maintain this memorial if you care to transfer it to me, she is a family member. If you prefer to maintain it yourself, I will understand. Thank you for all your hard work. :-)
