|I live in Converse County, Wyoming and have done genealogy work and lookups for people for years. I enjoy helping people find their ancestors!|
I volunteered at the Douglas Library a couple years ago to make copies of all obituaries in Douglas papers from 1885 to the present and put them in notebooks so they are easier to find. At present I have about 10,000 and am still going! If you need an obituary I will try to find it for you.
I have access to the book "Pages from Converse County's Past" which has many stories of Converse County pioneers; and I will be glad to check the index for you.

Thank you Betty!
For David's memorial and lovely headstone photo for Mary ... Your work is appreciated far and wide.
Would you mind posting it on Frank's memorial too?
Frank Scott Browning, Find A Grave # 53624967.
God Bless you,
Honoring those who have gone before.

Nice to "run into you" again, Betty.
See my flower note at this registration.
You may know that Coutant published the first WY History. Biographies he collected--probably autobiographies at his invitation--were planned for later publication but he died.
Scads for the entire state are housed in his collection boxes in Cheyenne.
If you want a list of the unpublished biographies, send me an email.

It would be great if you have a chance to check the cemetery records and/or the funeral home records. It is always good to make our memorials as correct as possible. However, being human, errors will appear from time to time. I try to remember the old saying, "To error is human, to forgive is divine." Thanks for your diligence.

I have accepted the edits and will make the correction on Robert. I checked all my resources and the only time a middle name is mentioned is in the obituary in the Douglas paper and it stated Godfrey which could well be an error. I could check cemetery records and see what they show if you want me to. Betty

From what you say, I agree. Please accept my Edit with its other data, and then change his death place back to Douglas.
By the way, all of my research indicated his middle name is Gordon. Do you know if Godfrey is correct? It would be good to know. Thanks!

COULD YOU SEND ME BEULAH'S FIND A GRAVE NUMBER? I WENT INTO THE EDITS THAT YOU SENT ME AND HAVE TRANSFERRED ALL OF THEM TO YOU. PLEASE DO SEND ME TRANSFER REQUESTS. I DON'T MIND TRANSFERRING AND KEEPING LEO'S WORK GOING THAT WAY. HE REALLY ENJOYED WORKING ON THESE PROJECTS AND I AM SURE WHEN I MAKE MYSELF I WILL FIND MANY PICTURES ON HIS CAMERA THAT I WILL NEED TO ENTER THAT HE HAS TAKEN. ONE STEP AT A TIME FOR ME. THANKS FOR YOUR HELP AND SUPPORT. MRSLIGHTNING
PS. I WAS TRANSFERRING YOUR LIST TO YOU AND ACCIDENTLY TRANSFERRED JUANITA DOORMAN 101400129 TO YOU AND SHOULD HAVE TRANSFERRED TO CHERYL L 48130941 SO IF YOU COULD TRANSFER TO HER I WOULD APPRECIATE IT. I AM A ROOKIE, EXPECT MORE OF THESE OOPS!
