Spades
Please disregard that silly message I left. I must be losing it - you have everything just as it should be. I have been on the computer too long tonight. Please forgive me.

And thanks for all you do. I did mean that.

Spades
Hi, there. I was just working on adding some Spade memorials, and happened to notice the memorial you have for Elizabeth Bowersox Spade, buried at Millheim. She is not the wife of the John Spade who has the children you listed. Elizabeth Bowersox Spade was married to John Spade who is buried in the old cemetery that was paved over in the middle of Uniontown. It gets confusing, because there are lots and lots of Johns and Georges and Elizabeths and Catherines, in the Spade family. Elizabeth and John Spade had a son John who married Elizabeth Heckman. The two of them are buried in the Ellet Cemetery. I can help sort this out if you want. Im trying to get these few memorials posted at the moment, though.

Thanks for working for Find a Grave people like you have helped me out so much. I just want the information to be correct, because its hard enough to keep things straight, with the crazy name issues.

Thanks much.

I recently went in search of Jean's grave to fulfill your photo request, but I believe she may be buried elsewhere. All the individuals buried in St. Mary's Cemetery are nuns and none of the burials precede 1856. I feel quite confident that she is not here, but if you are certain, I can contact the Sisters at St. Mary's in hopes of finding further details.

Bracken Franzen @ Steele City
Hi Ron,
The good news is that I finished photographing the Steele City Cemetery last weekend, so if you are interested in any more photos feel free to ask.

Now for the confusing news: I don't there is an actual person named Bracken Franzen, and I do not find any other Franzens in the directory or any Brackens at all.
On the requests I just filled you will see that there is a large family surname stone with Bracken * Franzen on it. It is in the lot that Carl & Jeanette are in which is row 23, Lot NR23, and the lot is owned by F.M. Lambert per the directory. Anna & Onke Franzen are buried in the row and lot directly east of them, row 24, Lot NR24, which is owned by G.W. Lambert.

To add to the confusion, there is a lot in row 22 NR62 owned by C.R. Bracken, but no Bracken burials found in the directory. I checked the one funeral home book that I have and it does show that there was a Verna Nellie Bracken aged 19y, died 5 Sept 1914 buried at Steele City, but she isn't in the directory and I didn't find a stone for her near the others.

Do you know if Jeannette was a Bracken? I don't have marriage records here but may check at the library and possibly the obits and see if I can find out why there is a stone with both surnames on it.

Sorry if this is confusing!

Kristin

I want to make sure that I understand correctly. Were John and Hannah first cousins? Cheri

RE: Re:John Archer
Thank you for verifying John Archer's parents for me. I found his siblings as Ira and Caroline. John (Jr.) children as Hannah, Ceylon, Laura, and Grace. Are there any additions that you are aware of? Thank you for your help. Cheri

Re:John Archer
I saw where you had added John Archer to the Jamestown Cemetery. Do you know if he had a son named John born about 1841 who served in the 100th Indiana Infantry, Company B from Steuben Co. Indiana? Thank you for any help you can give me.
