I am a stay-at-home mom, and have been married to my active duty husband for 13 years. We have lived in CA, TX, CO, and are currently stationed in Fort Polk, LA.
My husband is a mechanic in the Army, and has done 3 tours overseas: Korea for 8 months, then redeployed to Iraq for 12 months (first tour), 2nd tour was to Iraq for 15 months, and his last tour was to Afghanistan for 12 months. He is currently stateside for 2 years. I'm thankful that God brought him home, as there were others in his brigade who paid the ultimate price. If you get a chance please stop by their memorials, (they are in my Honor The Fallen file) and leave a token of your love and appreciation for their service. Honor The Fallen is still a work in progress as I haven't added everyone yet. I continue to pray for all our soldiers and their families deployed around the world.
My husband and I have a ten year old daughter. We are expecting our second child in September of this year! We are beyond excited as we have experienced personal loss and hardship in this area of our life.
I am researching my mom and dad's side of the family, as my father-in-law and mother-in-law have got my husband's side of the family covered. Some of the names I am researching are: ALEXANDER, DAVIDSON, DOSSER, GATES, HAYNES, HILLHOUSE, INMAN, PORTER, SCHMID, and ZOGG. My family tree isn't very extensive at this point, but it is fascinating work for me, and sometimes I find myself spending hours on one person, trying to find as much info on them as possible. Now I understand why people say genealogy is addictive!
Find A Grave has been very helpful in my research, and I'm very thankful for all the wonderful volunteers who contribute their time and effort to help me and others out.
God Bless You And Yours!

 | Abrell Family I am interested in knowing more about your connection to the Abrell family. Lynzie is my wife's GGGGGrandfather. Do you know anything about his wife, Sarah Ashley, or his son, Clayton? | | | Charles W. Sanders
 | Miriam Rosetta Hillhouse Sanders Hi Heather,
I saw that you also requested a photo of her stone. Just to let you know, Lee Barrow fulfilled my request. You can view the picture on her memorial.

 | RE: Nevada Ella Hammer Thank you. You are always welcome to use my photos so long as credit is given to me as the photographer, as you suggested. My only complaint is when a researcher uses my photo without giving credit as though he/she had taken the photograph. This is a violation of copyright as you know. Happy researching! | | | | [View all messages...] |
