I have always been interested in American History, especially the War of 1812 through Reconstruction after the Civil War. I have found many of my own ancestors in lost graves and just want to help others find their pasts and never forget those who came before us.

My family first arrived in Massachusetts and moved to Rhode Island in the 1640's and I have been able to trace their movements to Connecticut, New York, Vermont, New Hampshire and Illinois.

Thanks so very much for taking the time and effort to photograph John Babcock's headstone for us! Living in Kansas (and being disabled besides), our chances of ever getting to your part of the country is about nil. We wish you well! The Shultz/Reynolds family

Ha Ha strike that last post, I was so excited I wasn't thinking. :) She was buried in Vermont and he was buried in Illinois so I guess it wasn't to close. Thanks again.

Thank you so much for the wonderful photo of Margaret's headstone. I very much appreciate your time and effort in taking the photo for me. Do you have any idea if it was close to William? I am so excited that you found it. Thank you again.

Chapin infant
Thank you for taking the picture of the Chapin headstone. I've never heard of two families sharing a headstone? Maybe they were related?

It looks like the first one says son of and the Chapin baby says "Dau" for daughter?
