|Very few of the people who have ever lived ever show up in the history books. It is mostly through genealogy and websites like this that they are ever remembered.|
While any picture is better than no picture please avoid the temptation to post a picture of a grave marker that isn't better than the picture(s) already on a memorial simply because you took a picture. Pictures that are dark, taken at goofy angles, blurred, clip the tombstone/inscription or otherwise unreadable don't really help and shouldn't be posted.

Do you know his wife Mary's maiden name.
Was she previously married. I am searching
for a Mary Jane Groe who was married to a
Alfred Baldwin who died in the Civil War and
she later married a Rishel. First name
unknown to me. Any help would be appreciated.

You posted a picture of Minerva & Joseph Bartholomew's grave stone. In the info about Minerva, you listed her birth in Dauphin, Dauphin County, PA. Where did you find that information? She was my great grandmother and her maiden name was Newhard. My searching for her mother's family is dead ended, but I think they were from the Harrisburg area. Help!
Tim, Thank you so much for taking the time to get this nice photo for me and posting it on Find A Grave. I think you've done others for me earlier as I recall asking about your name Gruber as my 2nd great father 1st wife was a Gruber.

It's amazing how people can put memorials in the wrong cemetery even when they've taken pictures of the tombstones.
Tim (I hope),
My name is Bill Mengel (William M Mengel) or as you might know me S-3-4-10-1-3. If I am correct, you are my 2nd cousin 1X removed. I can't believe how much work you put in to compile the Mengel Family History. I have two 1985 copies. One I purchased at a family reunion in Auburn, PA in 1985 or 1986. I inherited the other from my Great Aunt Priscilla. Do you have a newer version?
If you don't mind, I have a couple of questions. How many children did Benjamin (S-3-4) have? Your book shows fourteen and that agrees with a family tree that Aunt Priscilla drew. In poking around on Ancestry, I have found up to twenty one listed. I think fourteen is correct.
Do they still hold the family reunion in Auburn, PA and is it on Labor Day? What do I need to do to attend one?
I am looking for birth records of my great grandfather, that I still remember, Martin I Mengel S-3-4-10. I have always been told that his middle name was Irvin and not Irwin. I had an uncle, Irvin S Mengel that was named after him.
Do you know of any easy, safe way to clean a headstone? I visited Benjamin's grave on a recent trip and the headstone is barely readable. I have read that plain water and a toothbrush works.
I recently retired and moved to Tennessee. My email address is firstname.lastname@example.org.
Hope to hear from you sometime.
